Scotch Indoor Mounting Tape 1-in X 50-in, White, Holds up to 10 lbs,1-Roll

The 3M Scotch Mounting Tape is so handy and versatile in my daily life that I often just carry it around in my pocket. It is faster, more convenient, less time consuming, and less messy than using a glue gun. I personally do not like making holes in walls, or anything else, so this heavy duty tape seems to fix most of my needs regarding anything that is hanging, or lose, and an excellent temporary repair for so many items. Below I have made a very short list of some of the many ways that I have used the 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Mounting Tape in the last few days. 1. I have found that those ‘self-adhesive” hooks that are used for keys, dog leashes, and hanging items in the kitchen, bathrooms, and closets, really do not stay adhered when an item is hung, the hooks tend to loosen and eventually fall off the wall. Just apply a small piece of the 3M mounting tape and you will receive better adhering results. 2. I bought a grocery bag dispenser to hang on the wall, and it came with adhesive tape as an option to hang, instead of using screws to make holes. The adhesive worked until the dispenser was filled, and the little extra weight of the empty plastic bags caused the dispenser to fall. I used the 3M mounting tape, along the back sides of the dispenser, and the dispenser has had held securely to the wall for about 6 weeks, and is still holding firm. 3. A small sliver of wood had cracked and separated from inside my bureau drawer and was snagging my clothes. I carefully slipped a small piece of the mounting tape in the area between the wood and the place where it had separated. Then I evened out the rough edges, and placed a small amount of tape over edge, so now it is smooth and no longer snagging my clothes. 4. The hem had come lose on a pair of slacks that I was wearing and I did not have the time to change, but a small piece of the mounting tape placed between the hem and inside of the pants legs kept the hem secure until I was able to repair it that evening. 5. The motion sensor night light kept falling off the wall, I applied a small piece of the 3M mounting tape on the top and bottom of the backside of the light, and it has remained attached without slipping or falling. 6. The inside sole of my sandal had come lose and was annoying as it was flopping around as I walked. Just a small piece of the mounting tape applied between the sandal and the sole at the toe and heel repaired that problem. 7. I have trouble finding my pencil among all the papers on my desk, so I placed a small sliver of the mounting tape on the side of the monitor of my computer and I now stick the pencil on the tape. I no longer waste time looking for my pencil, and it no longer rolls off my desk. This is just a short list of the many versatile ways that I use the 3M Scotch heavy duty mounting tape daily, for quick repairs and solutions, a fast and convenient tool providing me with immediate results.

This is an amazing product from 3M, I used this double-sided tape for mounting my SSD in my PC case, and for my display adapter, it sticks very well so strong even after mounting its not easy to take the tape out of the item. If you want to mount light weight stuff (note that the description on the box says up to 0.9 kg but I think it can hold up for higher weights maybe 1.5kg) this double-sided tape works excellent. Also it doesn't get dirt easily, so it would last for a long time. It is made up of some foamy material, and soft. The dimension is: 25.4mm x 1.27m, and MADE IN USA.

not sure if it was the humidity this year but one of the paper shades I purchased for our new home failed. I have used these shades in the past for almost 2 years ... just to keep windows covered and allow us to have privacy until I put permanent window covers up. I purchased these NEW again this year for our home and all worked well except for one (more heat and humidity this year). This tape was a life-saver. Purchased it because the packaging stated it could hold up to 5 lbs -- it worked. A small piece held up the window shade perfectly.

Strong Hold for Light Indoor Projects This Scotch Indoor Mounting Tape works really well for hanging lightweight items around the house or office. I used it for picture frames, small hooks, and even a decorative wall mirror (well under 10 lbs), and everything has stayed secure without any slipping. The adhesive grabs quickly and holds firmly once it’s pressed into place. The 1-inch width makes it easy to work with, and being able to cut it to the length needed helps avoid waste. Removal can take a little effort, and depending on the surface, it may pull off paint or finish, so I’d avoid using it on delicate walls. For smooth surfaces like glass, tile, or sealed wood, it performs reliably. Bottom line: A strong, convenient mounting tape for lightweight indoor projects—just be cautious with painted surfaces when removing.

I have been using the product for years. It has always been great. But the last two rolls I ordered were not good quality. The texture, feel, and durability of the product has changed. You cannot tear off a piece anymore or you get a stretched out thin mess. Also you get much less on the roll. What happened?

I use it to hold up one of those long mirrors (I dunno the exact size, but you always see them at Target, especially around dorm-stuff-shopping time) on a door that is opened and closed constantly. It's been holding for weeks. And the last time I used it to do that, the mirror held up for years, until I moved. I use four 2-inch or 3-inchs strips for one mirror, just to give you an idea of how much you'll use. It does stink that you get so little for your money, but it's strong stuff. Be prepared for it to be tedious to remove, though.

I bought this to try and do a mount on the inside wall of our Penske truck. Granted, it was metal and in the middle of winter so around 30 degrees at night, but the tape didn't stick at all. I couldn't stick it to the metal; it just kept coming off and sticking to my fingers. If a product is self proclaimed as "Heavy Duty Mounting," then I think it's reasonable to expect it to stick to cold metal. I didn't try it indoors, since I wouldn't trust it with anything anything heavy or valuable. Waste of money for me, not sure how others use it and if it works.

This is a very good mounting tape for light duty applications. You can mount things that you may want to relocate later without too much mess or damage to surfaces. This is not meant for permanent applications. For that you will need the extreme mounting tape which adheres itself to surfaces and won't come off without something be jacked up. This has many uses. I have used it to keep glass vases and things that attract the home bound vigilante combat kitten who sees breakables as a pathway annoyance, in place and not on the floor. Also great for mounting things to desks and shelves such as usb hubs and power strips. Just be sure and use enough to cover the entire mounting surface. Maximizing surface area is the key to success. Also clean both mounting surfaces before use.

Item is straightforwardly described, comes in a roll which will last a long time and plenty of mounting applications. Used it to mount electrical power boards tidily underneath/on side of desks. Great product and easy to use. Simply cut desired length with scissors and then apply to surface. Have not yet removed tape to see if any residue remains..

It took me almost 3 months to decide whether to buy this or not and finally i went for it. (*because of the pricing) Now coming to the product, This is the top quality double side tape there are no other tape above this (after all is 3M) what you get for what you pay. Price is not mention as it is foreign made. I have used it, and really the glue is top notch, it will fix the item permanently. Be careful while applying on wall if you want to remove in future, the item along with paint will come out while removing. Other than that superb solid product go for it. (pic attached)

We purchased this tape to reinstall a storage unit that came away from the lid inside our Harley Davidson storage compartment. The unit is made of nylon with mesh and velcro and covers the entire lid of the compartment. It has multiple pockets for storage. It wasn't fun removing the original tape from the factory. Since we reinstalled the nylon unit with this 3M tape everything has stayed in place and it has been almost a year now. Very happy with the results and would recommend this tape.
