Does the Dropkick require subwooers for a bass sound?

Not required, though a subwoofer would probably help. I run mine through a single-speaker PA with multiple 4" drivers. I roll off the high frequencies on my mixer and still get a pretty decent bass thump even out of my little tiny speakers. But, I'm sure it would sound even fatter with a sub.

Does it work well with heel tapping? If not then what other products can you reccomend for heel tapping?

Hi there You mean, if you can tap with toe and heel individualy? So far, I only use with my toes. But I check it out tonight - next gig.

Are the curved black lines raised, and do they create a ripple effect when you slide your foot over them?

Hi, thanks for your question. The black lines are not raised, they are indented. Their main purpose is to provide some traction and to look cool. They have no effect on the audio output. thanks again Warwick

Does it come with a case?

It comes with a tight fitting zippered neoprene case. This thing is built like a tank, with the elegance of a Macbook and it works! No EQ needed.
