I googled for my old (25yrs or so) Sears /Kenmore fridge and Amazon confirmed this kit would be compatible, and it was. Also watched a video on YouTube showing how to remove the cover and the top screws that hold the door in place. Had I not run into a problem (which had nothing to do with this kit) I would have been done in about 10 minutes as it was really pretty simple to follow the directions. Unfortunately one of the old screws snapped off and I had to spend about an hour figuring out how to get a workaround. After putting it all back together, I was at first disappointed because it hardly seemed to make much of a difference in terms of closing. I went back, pulled the door off and then cleaned the hinge pins and coated them with WD-40 to make it really smooth. Reassembled it all and Voila! It now works absolutely perfectly. I am delighted. I had bought a Fridge alarm for $20 a year ago. I wish I had known how easy it would be to completely fix it, and for half the price. And I am happy they included 2 pairs of replacement cams so I can fix the freezer door in the future if that ever starts failing.

I used these to fix my refrigerator to eliminate slow door closing that felt like it was grinding near the bottom. These door cams measure 1.5 inches long but my upper original cam was 2.0 inches long. Despite this, the new ones worked fine. And the upper of two on the lower right door needed to be drilled out with a 3/8 inch drill. Then they worked great. I used a wood 4 x 4 inch ( 3.5" x 3.5" in reality) and a 1/4 inch piece of wood veneer to block up the right hand door of my Kitchenaid KSCS25INSS02 side by side refrigerator/freezer. The plastic cams had worn down causing poor closing of the door. I also secured the two large handles with heavy duty zip ties. There were three 5/16in bolts holding the hinge assembly to be removed with a socket set and then two 1/4 bolts holding the upper cam in place. I reinstalled both with some lithium grease and the door now opens a bit further than previously, but is otherwise like new. To get the screws to line up I used two flat wonder (crow) bars placed under the door to lift the door up slightly with some help from another person. The photos show the crowbars in place, the lower cam after drilling out the hole for the shorter steel hinge pin in side and then top view. For 10 bucks, this was worth it compared to forking out for a new unit! Bad on Kitchenaid (and their ownership Whirlpool, Kenmore and who knows what others) for discontinuing the original part that I confirmed is not available anywhere on Whirlpool/Kitchenaid parts sellers. My refrigerator is 16 years old but looks great and all the shelves and features inside working fine + the energy efficiency is no different than new, similar models. It blows me away that so many sellers on Amazon do not take the time to provide more detailed descriptions of their items!

This review is for Blue Stars Brand Lifetime Warranty 4318165 Refrigerator Door Closer Cam Kit. The kit arrived on-time, complete and as advertised by the seller; it contains a few different items which I assume will fit a range of refrigerator doors. I purchased this kit as I could not find the exact replacement door cam for my older GE refrigerator which is housed in the garage. None of the included cams in this kit was a perfect fit but I was able to implement an effective solution by enlarging the holes to the required diameter in the closest equivalent. The refrigerator door now closes properly and stays closed under the action of the cam.

This is my second time purchasing this kit. Our whirlpool side by side was 5 years old when the door started making popping sounds and hard to open and close. We installed the kit and added a little grease and it worked as it should for 8 years. Now it's doing it again so we just purchased the cam kit to replace them again. It's pretty simple to do. We placed a stack of boards under the door and removed the lower hinge. There is a small screw holding the cam to the bottom of the door and one holding a cam to the lower hinge. Installed new cams and added a little white grease and works like new, again. Not a great design but easy enough to fix. This kit is about 1/3 the price of the appliance repair store.

Sadly the other reviewers are right, after 4 months, these plastic cams already wore out. Doors closed well for a couple months, now they are actually hard to close, worse than before I installed these. Trying to find a better material product, no luck yet.

Save my fridge!!! My door fell off, and there was nothing to secure anything too, but I was able to use this on the fridge and it works. Money well spent

Had to drill out one of the holes a bit bigger but fixed my fridge door !!!

This was supposed to be for my fridge model but it didn’t fit. Too big. Can’t even return bc it’s passed the date!! Fml. Wasted $30.

Received on time as was announced, Thank you. It is better to include precise dimensions, specially for products that have hardly adjustment room. Throwing wide and fine net to catch clients for trial and error not only is not good for clients but also for the seller and obviously for Amazon reputation and reliability.
