Replacement for broken chair back
DIY fixing chair backs. This was perfect size and only needed to be trimmed to fit the chair back hole. After soaking it, it was pliable enough to stretch, place, and tack onto the chair. After drying it returned back to original tense-ness. Now when sitting in the fixed chairs noone will fall through! Bought 2of these to fix 2 chairs.

Great product
This woven cane material works so well for repairs on our dining room chairs. We pre-soak the material (and the spline) about 2 or 3 hours before tacking the project. It doesn't take long. After a couple of days, when the cane has fully dried, it tightens up perfectly and is then ready for the coating of stain.

from Woodcraft Supply - 1/2" conventional weave cane, 24"
We have a ceiling fan in a glass enclosed porch which has been hanging there since at least 1995 when we bought this house. The fan is working just fine but each blade (4 of them) had a cane insert, all of which were dried out, curling up and falling out. I looked for new blades but found replacements to be so expensive it made more sense just to buy a new fan. But I decided to look on Amazon first at what I might find to redo the blades. I didn't even know what to call what was on the blades but after some fits and starts was taken to "conventional weavecane" which is exactly what was decorating each of the blades. I was able to order a 24" piece out of which I was able to cut the 4 needed inserts. With shipping it cost me about $16 to repair these 4 blades and make my fan look like new
