Exact replacement for original Sony remote. Works great.

Wanted a 2nd remote to have across the room for my 9 year old Sony XBR55X900E after we moved to a new place. Seems to work better than the original in not needing to point exactly at the spot to be received. Did need to provide my own batteries, but is preferred as is rather ensure good set right away.

This is an excellent substitute for the original Sony remote that came with the original Sony TV - XBR 55X810C. It is NOT and OEM part from Sony. The remote lasts about a year with daily use. The volume control tends to go first, then the select control, then any other button. Given the economical price I just buy another remote from this distributor and it works fine with the above in mind.

Pros: The original remote of my Sony Bravia X850C TV from 2015 had unresponsive buttons after years of usage and ordered this replacement. The remote looks identical to the original one that came with the TV. All buttons I typically use are very responsive. No pairing required and it just plug and play after installing two AAA batteries. Cons: The packaging was almost non-existent. The remote came wrapped in a thin plastic film. There is a minor crack/dent near the top of the remote. I did not bother to return it since it does not affect the functionality. Overall: Solid replacement option for old Sony Bravia TV but product packaging can be improved.

We lost our original Sony remote and first went with an oddly named replacement. It sort of worked, but the buttons had to be pressed for a long time to get a response and it was a nuisance. Luckily this Sony branded unit works perfectly just like the original one did. Hopefully it is a real unit as counterfeit items sold online is a big issue. As far as I can tell this is the real deal. It certainly works perfectly. You will need to provide you own AA batteries.
