In the Forest S30 (1.25 Qt) Embossed Mixing Bowl | Hedgehog (Red)

This Mason Cash bowl is so perfect! I love the weight and feel of it; I can handle it easily during prep and mixing. It feels ergonomically right for me! It is of high quality and the green Forest Owl Embossed pattern is very lovely...so heirloomish...I highly recommend this product.

The bowl is very pretty and sturdy. I stack it with the other In the Forest bowls on a shelf in my kitchen and they look amazing together.

It is so beautiful! Color is perfect and just the right size. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not super heavy.

This is a useful earthenware bowl, designed by the Mason Cash pottery firm based out of Liverpool, England. The actual pottery piece was made in Portugal, however. The designs are quite heavily embossed into the clay in this pattern, known as "In the Forest". I chose this bowl (and one other I also purchased that is a bit larger than this one) because I like the animal scenes used. The pattern gives a fun but natural, almost organic, look to the bowl, that is highlighted further because it is of earthenware (versus metal, china or plastic). This particular bowl is the S30 sized bowl, which is the smallest sized mixing bowl in this set, I believe. It measures 8 inches across the top (outside rim to outside rim) and is 4 inches in height, making this a great size bowl for those people who do not have to prepare food for a lot of people all the time. The red color of the bowl is more like a terra cotta color rather than a true primary color red. The interior of the bowl was glazed in an off white color. The color of the bowl I received is very close to my photo. Because this is an earthenware bowl, none of the bowls in this set would be considered light weight compared to other mixing bowls. However, since this is the smallest bowl of this set, it is certainly not so heavy that you would automatically think twice before deciding to use it. This sized bowl of this pattern has eight small hedgehogs who walk in pairs amongst falling leaves. Because the hedgehogs are at the bottom of the bowl, they are not as easy to see when photographing this bowl. The pattern also consists of several tree trunks and a bit of grass as well as the leaves.

You need to take care of these glazed ceramic mixing bowls. Don't bang them around as they will chip, crack or break. If you follow these guidelines, you will be rewarded with a nice heavy mixing bowl that won't runaway from you, won't flex or bend, won't shed plastic particles and makes hand mixing just that little bit easier. They look nice too.

This bowl is amazing! Not a heavy weighted bowl I was surprised about that. Very well made holds my normal recipe of sourdough while it is proofing. Totally recommend and well worth the money. No metal utensils or hand mixer are to be used it’ll mar the bowl.

Ich bin bei Mason Cash nicht genug objektiv, weil ich die Schüssel dieser Firma sehr mag und gerne + viel benutze. Die machen Landhausküche noch schöner.

Love the design and colour. The only thing I suggest is to make it a little sturdier. Seems a bit on the light side
