great, relatively low cost tactical pants
I've been looking for some good tactical pants that didn't cost over $100, and these fit the bill. I don't think that they are going to survive seriously tough training, at least not a lot of it, but if you just want some good tactical pants for hunting, the range, contracting, or paintball/airsoft, these are a great option.Very comfortable, tons of pockets, interior magazine pouches, lots of points of adjustment. The knee pads that are included are adequate - they won't hold up to heavy abuse, but are more than enough for kneeling in the dirt or gravel and staying comfortable. Fit and look great. Highly recommend.

Best Combat Pants on Amazon.
Absolutely the best Combat pants on Amazon. These are a little bit pricey but worth it with out a doubt. The material is extremely durable, yet flexible and breaths well. Even in 90ยฐ+ heat with humidity they donโt over heat you, thanks to the gussets being made of a thin but durable spandex like material that literally lets the breeze Blow through.Other brands in Amazon have similar designs but so far I have not found any that have the same light weight breathable gussets. As for cold weather, thanks to the primary material being good working material, you wonโt freeze your โpartsโ off either.Iโve worn these in both 90+ heat and below 40ยฐ weather and been very comfortable. Especially when paired with this brands combat shirt. The shirt keeps your core cool in the cold weather especially if you wear a carrier or vest as part of your kit.My only โcomplaintโ (which is more of a critique) is that there are only 3 color/pattern options:multicam,OD GreenMulticam Black.I would love to see a wider range of colors, I especially would love to see a plain black pair of the pants since they would be great for working in at my job as a EMT but since multicam black is not acceptable I canโt wear them.

decent pants for labor job
I bought these pants because of the built in knee pads. I'm a carpet installer by trade & i spend a large amount of my work day on my knees. wearing traditional knee pads is what i am used to, but the straps constantly dig into the backs of my knees/legs. Since these pants had knee pads that don't require straps around my legs, i thought i'd try them out.these pants, and the knee pads are good, but not without fault. the elastic cord used to adjust the knee pads up & down is looped through a thin fabric 'hook' which easily breaks. lucky for me, i'm good with a needle & thread, cause i've had to replace that little look hook on both legs a couple of times. those cords being exposed on the inside of the pants makes the repair easy, but every time i put them on, i'm consciously aware of my foot not catching the cord & ripping it as i put them on.Another issue is the material. when i got these pants & started wearing them to work i noticed how hot they were. granted i live in San Diego, sunny Southern California. it gets hot here in the summer months. The pants are NOT breathable at all when new.The knee pads are a pain in the ass to get into the knee slots, especially when the pants are new & you don't know how to insert them. instructions would be cool. the stitching on the knee pads has certainly ripped in a few places, but not to the extent of them being unusable.fabric has torn in a few places, worn from use or chaffing against the material i'm holding, but they are good pants regardless, especially for the price.having had these pants for a year now at the time of writing this review i am happy i bought them & will definitely buy another pair for work when these finally get too thrashed to continue using. maybe i'll get them in the winter so i can break them in without a gallon of sweat falling out of my butt every day. (that's not a fun drive home)good pants & worth the money for the use i require of them, but certainly not without fault. but i would buy again

Finally a pair that fit properly
I have gone to 3 other manufactures to try to find a pair of these that fit, they were all way too big around the in seem/crotch area, these fit perfectly and don't feel like I have a parachute around my waist. I'm 6' 3' 140lb so yea, I'm really skinny and as such it was hard to find a pair that wouldn't be too baggy, I usaual wear a size 29/30 waist, the small fit just the way I wanted them to, I've seen complaints about the in seem being too tight but its a perfect size for skinny guys or women with skinny waist/crotch, I've also seen complaints about the knee-pad slots being sewn shut, and while it is true that the bottom is sewn shut it is not a 'con' or a problem, simply fold the top of the flap downward inside of the pant legs and its out of the way. a very nice feature about this pants knee-pads is that there are three velcro pannels sewn onto the top and sides which attach to the velcro materal inside to pant legs which drasticaly helps prevent the knee-pads blowing out. a genius feature in my opinion. over all these were a perfect buy for me. if you are a skinny guy like me looking for a pair of these that won't look and feel like a parachute, or if you are a slendar woman, these are the pants for you. the multicam color was good and matched the rest of my multicam gear pretty well and I have no complaints about it. the only complaint I have is the lack of color options. at the time of my purchase they only had multicam and multicam black. furthermore, I have made other purchases from IDOGEAR and have been satisfied every time. I purchases two of their 'taco' style pistol pouches as well as their "taco" style rifle pouches and both have held up just fine. I will be purchasing their Combat shirt in multicam next and give a review on it. A message to IDOGEAR, you guys are doing a really good job so far, keep this up and you will get more and more business and become a bigger name. to the customers, don't be afraid to purchase from these guys just because they don't have a well known big popular name, remember people, Crye Precision, 5.11 tactical and all those other big names started from nothing at some point. don't be afraid to try new things.

Get the V2. This version is it!
First off, I'll start by saying that although these are made in China, they are TRUE TO SIZEWhich, as you may know, is not normally the case with a lot of clothes ordered off Amazon. Now, to expand on my title a little.Initially, I ordered a different version of the G3 pants from IDOGEAR that did not have the same fabric regarding the stretchy material. I honestly don't know what to describe it as, but the pants have more reviews than this version and they're roughly $1 less at the time of this review. Examine the pictures...you'll see what I mean. With that in mind, I was very unimpressed by "those ones", so exchanged them for these instead. For the price I thought...why not? Worth a shot. This version...MUCH better. All around. Quality of stitching, knee pads, and even the material/finish of the bungees and velcro felt lile they were higher quality. Much more comparable to Crye. No joke!I left a crappy review on the others with pictures if you want to go take a look. I cannot yet attest to the longevity, but for $70...I'll take my chances and buy a pair for backup. I would recommend you do the same if you're not willing to shell out $300+ on a single pair of Cryes.

Light duty sewing
I've worn these pants for just under 3 months and I've been pleased with their features but disappointed with their quality.Form wise they are amazing, the knee pads are well placed and comfortable once you break them in, the stretchy fabric improves mobility and breathability, and the overall aesthetic of the pants is great. I returned a pair of Emersongear G3 pants to buy these as those were very tight in the pockets so I regarded these Idogear as an upgrade. However, the stitching isn't durable. I went on a 13 mile hiking/camping trip this weekend as part of my volunteer Search and Rescue duties and had the stitching on the velcro closure of the right cargo pocket come unsewn. Upon inspection, I realized all the pocket velcro closures are stitched in the same manner. Pocket closures are really important, they ensure that nothing bounces out when you jog, run, or crouch. I bought a pair of less tactical cargo pants 10 years ago that I wore religiously and the seam on the crotch failed from constant slav squatting before the pocket velcro ever did.Because of this, I'll say these pants are better for cosplaying rather than even light-duty use. I would advise you buy either less tactical cargo pants for this price or more expensive combat pants with better stitching. As I am beyond the return window I will keep using these pants for events like airsoft and gardening but keep them out of the field.Cheers,Leander

Great pants, tons of pockets, decent price
I like these pants but I feel like by adding the elastic cloth/stretch zones it moves the knees lower and you have to pull on the cord to get them in a better position, which is a little uncomfortable and takes some getting used to. The knee pads are a little difficult to get in and you feel like you're gonna rip the pants or tear the knee pads, but I finally got them in without anything tearing.. I'm not sure how I feel about the waistband being Velcro instead of a button, sometimes it feels like it's going to come undone. But I do like these pants and recommend them.

Better than you would expect
This is my third pair of Idogear G3 pants. I have a 34" waist and they fit great with plenty of room to adjust smaller if needed. These fit US sizes just about perfect and they all have been consistent for fitting. The Multicam and Multicam Black patterns (though not actual Multicam Pattern) are nearly identical in coloration. My first two pairs are really durable and have lasted over a couple years with minor wear. Proper washing in cold water inside-out using Woolite and line drying has kept them clean and fade free. Knee pads do fit really well and do not pop out easily. I have CRYE kneepads that work in them perfectly as well. I do stress that proper washing in cold water - Woolite and line drying is critical.Overall for the price they are fantastic, and with proper care and washing they will last years.

Most functional and durable pants used in the workplace, today.
As a Telecom Tower Technician, I have found the IDOGEAR G3 combat pants are by far the most functional and durable pants on the market today. With the built in knee pads, I have saved my knees from normal bumps and bruises from working on cellphone towers. The multitude of pocket arrangements have come in handy with easy access when storing tools and telecom hardware. These pants are form fitting with removable knee pads and additional ankle support. These pants are a no brainer when it comes to comfort and convenience in the workplace or even recreational use like hiking and rock climbing.Best Regards,Gunner

Great pants for airsoft/paintball
They are very good pants. The knee pads are hard to fit in properly, but they are way more comfortable than regular knee pads because they don't have straps on the back. Tons of adjustment and pockets. I thought they were on the expensive side, but it's worth it. The fabric feels a little bit cheap but that makes them lighter and they don't look like they would tear too easily. Would buy again.
