A Must Buy for Fans of the Gamecube Controller.
I was a little reluctant to purchase this after seeing that a lot of people were saying that this product is not compatible with Wii Motion Plus remotes and I can confirm that it is NOT true. This product lets you use your Nintendo Gamecube controller in place of the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro. There is no input lag on this device at all and the packaging tells you on the back what the buttons are mapped to, the only button that the Gamecube controller would be missing is the "ZL" button so not every game is 100% compatible but most games that support the Classic Controller will be. I tested this on a 3rd party GC controller (Nyko Airflo) as well as the official Nintendo GC controller and had no problems at all. Despite what the packaging says, the Gamecube controller CANNOT work as a Wii U Pro controller, and the device DOESN'T support the rumble feature that the GC controllers used because of being read as a Classic Controller. A list of Wii U games that support the Classic Controller can be found on the internet, also you can look on the back of the game's box to see if it supports them, I had tested this device on a standard Wii remote, Wii remote with external motion plus add on, and a Wii remote that had motion plus built in(Wii Remote Plus) and it worked flawlessly on each of them every time. I had played Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Rayman Legends Challenge app, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl and all of those games were able to use the GC controller at its fullest. There is also a turbo button feature that you to map any of the buttons to (Only one button at a time though), but I used this just long enough to see if it worked and it did. The only problem that I had with this product was that the GC input seemed a little loose but not enough to pull the plug out by accident so I can't take off for that. I recommend this device to anyone that likes the GC controller and want to use it in the upcoming Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 8. I will definitely be purchasing more of these devices and more GC controllers in the near future. Purchased from TOTALCONSOLE. EDIT: UPDATE 4/5/2014 I am still using this product and at almost a year later it is still going strong. I have come to love this product so much that I have ordered 3 more of these adapters in prep for Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 8. I play Super Mario 3D World often and the Gamecube controller in my preferred way to play... Despite missing the "ZL" button it has the "ZR" button and both of them have the same function in this game so you will be able to get the most out of the GC controller in SM3DW. I also forgot to mention its compatibility with games on the Virtual Console... All I can say is that it works! EDIT: UPDATE 4/14/2014 I mentioned in the last update that I had purchased 3 more adapters, and I have been testing them. I can still say that this product is great! I tested all of them with several different GC controllers and they never gave me any problems... The 3 extra adapters worked just as well as the first one that I bought a year ago, but I also noticed they all had the same problem... I mentioned in my initial review that the adapter that I received had a loose input. The other adapters also had the same loose input, but once again I did not have a problem with it slipping out of the port with natural playing... With that said I tried moving erratically and was able to cause the controller to become unplugged, my suggestion is to just not get too into the game! My 5 star rating still stands as I have never had any problems out of this product, the loose input was worth looking into because of the many reviews on Amazon that mention it as a major flaw with the device, and it does seem to exist with all of these units. EDIT: UPDATE 6/2/2014 Nintendo has now announced their own Gamecube controller adapter for the Wii U and Super Smash Brothers, but I think as it will only be compatible with that game (as of when it launches). Nintendo may come out with updates for older games such as Mario Kart 8 to officially support Gamecube controllers, so as of now consumers can still find use out of the Mayflash adapter in games that support the Classic Controller including Mario Kart 8 and most Virtual Console titles. Also, as of this update all four of my adapters still perform perfectly.

Didn't work. It didn't work!
We bought this in order to play Super Smash Bros on our Wii U. We start the game up and it didn't work. One of them connected and it seemed okay, for some reason the other refused to recognize it. Okay, try another remote, it connects, we hit start. nothing. hit it rapidly it until it goes, characters come up....then they just start moving on their own. We run left, and it just stops sometimes. The b button went off at random. I don't get it. Given that we purchased two of them I think its safe to say we didn't just get two defects, and the product is unstable. I would suggest not buying this, IT DIDN'T WORK, simple as that, returning right now.

Best and only adapter for Gamecube on Wii U
So my title describes this adapter very well, though the adapter is actually quite good. At first when I tried it out by connecting it into a Wii remote and then plugging in a controller, the cursor was slowly moving toward the top of the screen. I simply unplugged the adapter (leaving the controller attached) and plugged it back in again. Usually this is a common problem when the joystick is offcenter when the controller is connected, but this time that wasn't the case. Despite this connect and reconnect, it hasn't happened since. The responsiveness despite going from a controller, through the adapter, through the wii remote and back to the Wii U is still very precise and responsive. I was very impressed. Because the adapter is emulating a classic controller, the start button does need to be pressed twice quickly to function as a typical "START" button press. Pressing and holding the same button for several seconds will bring up the HOME screen. This isn't a problem at all in game and is just an fyi for anyone purchasing this adapter, as this is the way it has to be. With that said, this is a great controller and is highly recommended if you prefer your Gamecube controller and plan on picking up Smash Bros and or Mario Kart next year. This adapter works for any and all things from Wii U games supporting the Classic Controller to Wii mode on the Wii U and everything supporting the classic controller there. Also works well on the original Wii, should you simply need to have the controller used in a location that is further than the cable would reach the Wii.

The price needs to be less..
(Im not sure if this it the same page i bought this product from, so please trust me even if this doesnt say im a verified buyer of the product) I got this adapter to play smash 4 and my VC games with my gamecube controller on my Wii U and it works great. However, smash 4 will be the main reason that people order this device since the official gamecube adapters are still sold out, but this price is really not worth it, youre paying for that extra usage for Virtual console whether it be in wii or Wii u mode, and maybe a few wii games like SSBB or Mario Kart Wii. But with that you get a few frustrations, like a very, very minor case of input lag, and the inputs for the start button. See, the start button represents 3 buttons based on how it's pressed and it's annoying to get used to.. One tap is Select (it really should of been start instead) Two taps is Start Holding down the button is the home button. Oh yes, I forgot to mention this treats your gamecube controller as a classic controller, hence why it plugs into the wiimote. Mayflash themselves have made a clone GCN adapter much like nintendo's that works the same way and works on PC as well Out the box for nearly the same price, but you won't be able to use your controllers for VC, I recommend that if you get this for mainly smash 4, if not this works great for wii mode games, but if that's all its gonna be used for, wait till the price lowers.

Recently bought this after finding out that despite being able to download gamecube games for my Wii, the Wii that I own does not have any actual ports for gamecube controllers, making it impossible to play the games I downloaded. This cost me around like 20$, and works fine. One end plugs into the back of your Wii Controller (where the nunchuk usually goes) and the other end is where the gamecube controller plugs in. The cord is long, and in addition to the cord of your gamecube controller, means it can easy span the length of a living room or whatever is needed. The gamecube controller doesn't fit super snugly into the port on it, and is a bit loose, so if you gave it a really good tug I'm sure it could pop out, but it hasn't been an issue for me at all. All in all, this is a great product, albeit for a very specific use. If you play games a lot, you will probably go through batteries very fast, but that has always been an issue with the Wii. If you find yourself in a similar situation to me, buy this, and you won't regret it.

Works 100% as a classic controller so be warned it only works for games that support he Wii Classic Controller and Wii Classic Controller Pro.Super Mario 3D world is more suited for the Pro version rather than the original classic controller because it only supports the back shoulder buttons ZL and ZR for crouching and long jumping so on the Gamecube controller you'll need to use the Z button to crouch and long jump. The Turbo function works well and is easy to setup and turn off but I don't really need it.It works perfectly with all the games I have that support the classic controller like brawl and Mario Kart Wii and Mario kart 8.Some games don't support the Pressure sensitive function on the original classic controller like brawl so I recommend changing your Y button to shield if you use the shield allot but the shoulder buttons work fine when you click them in.I play tested this controller on my Wii U on a 32 inch TV and I can't see any lag issues of any kind.
