The paint wells are solidy stable and NOT loose like other famous makers of palettes with or without paints. The solid planning that went into the manufacturing of this item and the larger one, are evident from the moment you feel it and see how it easily, yet snugly fits together. I love the underneath finger stabilizer that you put between two fingers and then instantly forget its even there. This make is so perfect to angle or turn your palette to suit your desire to mix the paint closer to you. Hope that makes sense. Usually, I hold it in one direction but then when wishing to use a different area of mixing, instead of taking a change of dripping water, I turn my hand or the angle I'm holding it all. Very versatile and a great buy. If you really want to thrill yourself and be rid of lots of gear, get the larger Portable Painter Palette that comes with two water wells and hold lots of paints. OMG! I love it. Keep painting!

This palette is truly almost perfect. The only additional thing I could want from this palette is a place to hold water (think a water reservoir similar to the whiskey box style paint palettes). But carrying water in addition to the palette isn’t a huge deal. This palette is compact, has plenty of mixing spaces for the size, can hold more than enough paint, and has interchangeability with pan size! The mixing surfaces allow for easy mixing right out of the box without a concern for paint beading up. I’d recommend this palette to anyone who wants a highly portable paint palette without sacrificing mixing space

I love this little painting container is so cute it's such a good quality and a good buy from Amazon. I looked into many different kinds and there was something wrong with each one of them that I think that didn't like but this is absolutely perfect

Works very well. A bit of a puzzle for assembling for painting but easy after a time or two. Holds quite a bit of paint. Great while riding in the car.

Very small travel watercolor pallete. This thing is perfect. I paint everywhere I go. So I enjoy a limited pallete. The man who created this is a genius! Update729/23: Amazon was late getting the second one too me. Customer service lied to me about its location . And it was lost. Portable painter needs to have a conversation with Amazon…

I have the original Portable Painter palette and I absolutely love it! So when the micro portable painter came out I had to buy it. It is perfect! Small enough to pop in your pocket if you are out hiking or just going out in the world and you want to paint plein air. It’s perfect for the painter in your life. It’s sturdy, compact, and easy to use. Love the way you can attach it to the travel book.

I've tried several kits to have on hand while walking/traveling and this is by far the smallest, lightest and best designed. I carry it with me almost everywhere now.

Yes, I absolutely love this little set and filled it with gouache paints straight away. Cant wait to try it out in the field. There is heaps of palette space for mixing and it is light and feels great in the hand. Comes in a nice little pouch too.
