After replacing my old windows that had internal button type alarm sensors, I needed this wire to extend the alarm wiring to the new external window sensors. This wire is nice and flexible which allows easy routing from where the window installer pulled the wires out from the frame so I could extend them to the new edge sensors. After extending the wiring, I used heat shrink tubing to keep them neatly together. This fine wire was perfect fit.

This is my first time writing an amazon review, so bear with me. I bought this wire to keep around for various projects. I tinker, restore, and repair a lot of different stuff so it's worth having some different sizes of wire around. I bought this since it's silicone insulated, and should hold up to lots of different environments for a long time. Comparing it to standard 24 AWG wire, the insulation is ever so slightly thicker, but it's barely worth mentioning, but the internal wire size is correct. It took solder no problem for me. I decided to try it on a computer fan that had very short leads. I carefully unsoldered the original leads (which were the 24 AWG wires I compared this to) and soldered the new wires onto the fan. It works fine and now has enough wire to actually use for something without splicing. Seems pretty durable and resilient, the heat of the soldering iron didn't bother the insulation at all. I have seen that happen before where the insulation is damaged on super cheap wires from soldering. It is very flexible since it is silicone. I highly recommend it. I have it saved so I can buy more when I need it.

Given the fine stranded wire plus the silicone based insulation, this is the most flexible connection wire I've ever worked with. Recommended when working in tight spaces or were extreme flexibility a must. Insulation strips readily. Highly recommended where movement or flexibility a must. Have bought multiple versions of this wire.

Good quality wire with silicone insulation. The black and red strands are wound on the spool together but not connected. This presented some tangling issues for me. In some cases being apart could be a feature. Just not this project for me.

Extremely flexible and high quality material. It's easy to solder as well. Great for my projects. This isn't the first time I'm buy from this company and won't be the last. I don't see myself using any other brand unless they have a drop in quality.

This is very soft and flexible wire very easy to strip. Use with my Arduino projects. Solders well.

This is quality wire, super pliable and easy to route around things. Only downside is when you need to push it through a tube or tunnel, due to it’s pliability but that is easily fixed with a snake like device to pull or push it through.

The quality is perfect. The wires are covered with true flexible silicone. I haven't been able to burn the silicone cover when soldering the twisted ends to PCBs... This is a big "plus" since I tend to overheat anything I solder in general!
