Best camera strap I've owned
I've been using this camera strap for a few years now, and it's been perfect for how I like to carry and use my camera. I have always hated normal camera straps that hang around the back of your neck -- especially if you have a weighty full-frame camera with serious glass attached. This strap goes over one shoulder, and the soft, stretchy neoprene distributes the weight and doesn't dig in or chafe. I love that the shoulder pad stays in place, while the camera slides easily along the strap from your side to your eye. In other words, the shoulder strap doesn't hang up on your clothes or neck. I have a Canon 6D with a host of lenses; I've felt safe with the strap with all of my lenses, although I generally don't leave on the strap with the 70-200/f2.8 attached -- just because it is so heavy. Also, I appreciate the adjustable anchors and strap length. I've tightened the strap and slung it on my back doing some minor climbing on via ferrata climbing routes, and it's been secure enough not to swing. Indigo Marble has upgraded the design of the strap since I purchased it, with an additional safety tether and a deeper 3/8" recess in the tripod mounting plate attachment, which means you can easily screw in a standard tripod mounting plate to the L-bracket. I'm a big fan of these upgrades. After years of use and perhaps hundres miles of wearing this strap , the stitching on the neoprene strap started to come undone, but it wasn't a structural threat. It was time for me to get a new one!

If you are touting a stock neck strap, toss it and get this
Pretty much inline with what others are saying about the product and the company. I love the strap - huge improvement in comfort and usability over my stock strap (60D). Camera is almost weightless at my hip with the strap situated on my shoulder, and although not huge I would not call the 60D svelte and it is hardly lightweight. Neoprene stays put. I wore it on a relatively hot and humid night and was surprised at how little I noticed it. Sliding buckles adjust easily to control how far the camera can travel. Design is lovely and allows the viewfinder to be brought to the eye effortlessly without the strap moving/tugging at all. The twice threaded screw allows for the use of other attachments (tripod) without having to remove it. I prefer the L Plate connector because... The L Plate keeps the camera aligned to your hip. (read - the lens no longer has to jut out away from your body as it does with the stock strap. The lens now rests tight to my body and somewhat around behind my back. This keeps my tele/zoom lens from getting bumped when in crowds/trees/passing my kids' heads and keeps me from having to walk with 'big arms' to protect it) It also keeps the correct side of the camera out towards my hand for quick-draw when I grab it off of my right hip. Without looking, the first place on the camera that my hand comes to is where it needs to be to take a picture. I realize that the picture of the gentleman in the pleasing indigo fleece above contradicts this description, but if you look close he is using the metal screw loop connector and not the L Plate. The company proactively inquired about my purchase satisfaction (as most sellers do) and promptly and again proactively remedied an issue I communicated by sending a replacement part, which I received before I even realized that they had replied to my message. Customer service is excellent. Product is superior to the stock straps, by far imo. Lens cleaning cloth cleans lenses with the best of them. Blue card is such a lovely indigo that I find myself donning the strap and camera just to snap photos of the card as I notice it lying around my home.

Good Value for the Money
Update: I’ve now been using the strap for a few years and absolutely love it! This strap has traveled with me and there have been many days in which I’ve worn it for hours at a time with no discomfort whatsoever. With my previous neck strap, I always found my camera began to weigh heavily on my neck in a short amount of time. I can wear a full-size DLSR on this strap for hours and not even know it’s there. I have had no problems with the construction-it still looks like new. I do check the connection screw in the bottom of my camera occasionally to be sure it is still tight, but I have no fear of my equipment dropping. The only other con that I have noticed is that for me, I sometimes find the strap can slide backward or forward on my shoulder which then can effect bringing the camera up for use when it runs into the top of the strap which has shifted. Mostly this isn’t a major problem. When wearing more smooth shirts I have to adjust the strap a little more often. Because the negative points made in my original post are still valid, I have not changed my 4 star rating, but definitely still recommend this product! My camera strap arrived just last week, so I haven't had much time to test it out yet...my first impressions have been very good though. I did quite a lot of research before settling on the Indigo Marble strap, and feel that the product I received is overall very representative of what I expected. If I could give half stars, this product would have gotten a 4 1/2. Pros: --The neoprene strap is very thick and comfortable. Wearing the strap over a long period of time will cause very little stress on my back or shoulder. --The construction seems to be very solid. Stitching is secure and fasteners are metal. --The carabiner that fastens the camera to the strap has a twist screw to secure it against accidentally opening and allowing the camera to disattach. (This was one of the features that drew me to this brand). --The strap comes with two camera connectors. I will probably not ever use the button connection since I like to have the option of mounting a quick release tripod mount to my camera, but the L-Bracket is sturdy and screws securely into the camera. --The strap comes with a camera tether. This was an important feature for me and one of the factors leading to my choice of this brand. The tether is solid and well constructed. I don't anticipate any problem with the L-Bracket, but I like the peace of mind that the back-up tether provides. Cons: --While I like the thickness of the neoprene shoulder strap, it can feel a little wide. I'm a 5' 4" woman and the strap borders on being cumbersome laying on my shoulder. Perhaps if it were a little more ergonomically shaped the width wouldn't seem so bad. Just a thought for future design tweaks. --The sliding buckle that allows for overall adjustment of the strap length begins to get in the way of where I want to have my camera hang at my hip. If I were taller or broader, this wouldn't be so much of an issue. For anyone smaller than I am, this would be a real problem. --Perhaps my main disappointment was the L-Bracket that came with the strap. I was under the impression that it would be a hinged bracket that would allow for the camera to lay flat when disattached. The bracket that came with the strap is a solid metal L which then doesn't allow the camera to lay flat on a surface without removing the bracket. It would perhaps be a good idea for Indigo Marble to make more clear in the listing, either in writing or with additional photos, that the bracket included isn't the adjustable hinge that they sell separately. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and with the contact I received from Indigo Marble during the shipping and delivery process. They seemed very accessible should I have had any issues with my strap being delivered...which I did not.

Great Product, better customer service. 6 Stars if possible.
I have been searching for a strap that does not aggravate my neck and shoulders. This is it. Today I walked around for 4 hours with my camera slung across my chest. I am still getting used to the strap and adjusting it to suit me but my shoulder and neck felt fine and I had virtually no fatigue that I had come to expect from other straps. Some have mentioned that it is a wide strap. This is so it distributes weight more evenly and makes for a more comfortable fit. When I got home I noticed that there was something odd about the carabiner clip. The threaded collar that locks the carabiner spring would not come to a stop. It would screw off the threads in either direction. I am mechanically inclined and know other carabiners do not perform this way. I emailed Indigo Marble and within one hour I had a response, a confirmation that this is a flaw and notification that a new strap is on its way to my house and will be delivered in two days. Comfortable, versatile and exemplary customer service. I cannot wait to see their other products.

Not quite as good as I thought at first
The strap overall is good but it could use a few more inches though, at 6' 5" my camera rides at the top of my hip. I would like to be able to rest my hand on the camera without having to raise it up to my hip but it is not uncomfortable and performs as it is supposed to. The baseplate is the only place where I find complaint, it should have been flat and extend past the edge of the camera just enough to make the connection. As it is it makes the camera a little harder to pack back in the case and of course you can't set the camera flat anymore. I plan on using a BlackRapid FR-T1 with my tripod plate so this won't be an issue in the long run. On Edit: After using the strap for a while yes it does need more length, my camera is right at my belt which means it is hitting my phone and holster. You can not screw an RC2 quickplate into the thumb knob, there is a gap when you do and it will not lock the plate in place. Once again, I have my BlackRapid FR-T1 on the way now so this problem will be solved. The locking clips to limit camera travel are useless, I am going to remove them since they constantly come un-done and get in the way. The strap works well enough, it just needs to be better thought out and finished. If you are lucky enough to get it with the discount code it is definitely worth it, if I had paid the full price I would be returning it.

Fabulously Practical Strap - Great Value for Your Money
Wow !!! What a fantastic camera strap !!! The thick neoprene padding makes it extraordinarily comfortable, essentially don't know its there. I usually have a medium to large zoom attached to my camera and with a normal strap have to always struggle to keep the lens facing down to avoid bumping into things. With this strap it just hangs down naturally, no fuzz. Attaching to the tripod socket is a troke of geniius as well, it eliminates a pet peeve of mine with normal straps when they get in the way of trying to capture a spur of the moment shot. No issue with this strap. On top of all these pluses throw in the extra clamp, cleaning cloth and free camera strap guide and you have a great value for the money. Excellent product.

Major product flaw makes product dangerous to your equipment
Update: After regular usage the poor craftsmanship of this product has shown (see photo). 5 weeks of daily use and it's falling apart. In addition to the fatal flaw mentioned below I really can't recommend this product in its current state. really not happy about the damage it caused. Doubt Indigo Marvle will pay to have my lens and camera fixed. Original review: I was enjoying this strap (some issues with sweat build up as it's not at all breathable) until it resulted in the destruction of a $2,300 lens and damage to a $3,500 camera. During a full day of usage (its second full day of use), on our second full day of photography at the very beginning of a multiweek, multi country trip, I was noticing the small "nut" attachment (not the plate) wasn't always very tight. So I kept tightening. I chose this vs the plate due to its more discrete size. That was a mistake. Well after a busy hour of crowds in a popular tourist spot it was just too much for the nut/screw and it had come virtually completely undone, little did I realize. I lifted the strap up and off over my head to remove the camera and my 5D MK IV crashed to the cobble stones. Now I'm traveling with a broken lens which isn't focusing properly (I've yet to fully scope out damage to the camera beyond the obvious stone scratches). The front of the lens is destroyed, as was the lens hood, which adds additional risk to lens damage beyond the focusing issues. I've swapped to the plate and will now be worrying about not just the focus issues but my exposed glass. The damage makes putting a lens cap on impossible Suffice it to say I am very upset with this product.

Excellent comfortable Sling Strap
Excellent sling strap. Extremely comfortable for a multi day long hike in the mountains around Bishop, CA for fall foliage shooting. At the end of the strap is either my D800 with the 24-70 F2.8 or the D700 with the 80-400 F4-5.6 lenses. It stay snug when I walk or hike in the hills and forests, the weight is cushion and spread out quite nicely and I did not feel much of the weight. It is not hot at all even during the hot Californian end summer and early fall days. The extra safety tether strap makes me feel very secure of not dropping the equipments. The only drawback is I have to remove the anchor every time I use the setup on tripod as mine is Arca Swiss L bracket and ball head. Looking for an Arca Swiss anchor clip.
