how much are the legs inset from the edge of the table? Can this be used as a dining table?

The front & back legs are 28" in; the side legs are 29" from the edge. No problem using it as a picnic table; however, the floor to the top of the table is 30", a little bit higher than a normal dining table.

The freight company just contacted me. We have to take it off the truck ourselves. How big a problem is this going to be?

Wow! We did not have this experience. The table itself it fantastic and worth some amount of trouble. The table is no where near as heavy as a standard particleboard table so if you can manage to get the box off the truck you are in good shape. When you open the box you can easily move each half of the table with very little effort. I would say is it not a big problem just a disappointment that the freight company would not have two people in the truck for such a delivery,

I've seen some reviews suggesting the net and attachment is less than optimal. Is there some reason one couldn't just buy a better net and install it?

We think the net and attachment are just fine. We have played everyday since we have bought the table and have had no problems.
