This rack is very long, therefore if you set the bottom rack higher, you can place heavy bulky things on the floor. We also got heavy duty wheels (also from Amazon) for it so we can move the rack easily. Very sturdy and easy to built. We placed this in our mechanical room. By having more storage space, we now have room for a freezer in our mechanical room.

This is a nice shelving unit. It is easily assembled and very nicely made for the price. But there's no way it can handle 250 lbs per shelf. I put a single 40 lb pot on each shelf and it sags noticably. The metal bars are just too thin. I've got other shelving that have metal crossbars that are at least double the circumference. If you're putting a bunch of small pots on the shelves, then you'll have no problem. Just don't expect to put much more than 50 lbs on each shelf.

Downsized from a house to a condo and got this for storage to create a pantry in my den. It is the perfect size and height for behind the door and is sturdy. Definitely a great find.
