My kids LOVE this system of learning. I really like the idea of doing math short cuts and being able to create a fun environment for learning. The tricks are too funny and makes it fun for my kids to put into good use what they are learning. One draw back was that some videos were the original version and out of date. They should be re done to reflect up to date information beyond the book so that we wouldn't have to figure out how to do it by ourselves in the book.

So far, my son isn't all that into the videos. I think it's the age of the shows-- they're obviously outdated and my son fixates on that a bit (he's on the sprectrum and fixations happen). The first video really got him interested in the birthday math but nothing else has captured his attention. I hold out hope that he'll decide they're worth his time but for now I give three stars. The product itself is nice: Box, DVDs, several instructional-type booklets, cards, flash cards, etc. so the price is probably reasonable (so long as the viewer actually likes the program!)

No DVD player at home. We can't play those DVDs. Is there anyway we can get a code or links to those DVDs since we have purchased the complete package? I believe these lessons are great.

It’s like watching a game show with kids. My slower processing child was not able to benefit from this even Though I asked if it would work for kids with issues and was answered “yes! Great for EVERYONE...” He got the card trick in the first lesson and had fun with that. It made him feel smart. I was encouraged, but that didn’t happen again. Many of the other math tricks and short cuts were convoluted and hard to process logically and he became less excited and eventually tuned it out. At that point, it’s usless. Each video is the same “game show”. The graphics are for kids in grades 2-5 I would think. He’s a struggling 8th grader and was hoping for help. But watching kids younger than him whizz through was just discouraging. This is good for elementary average kids to get excited about math. I don’t think it works well for older kids who have gotten behind due to learning disabilities at all. Ended up discouraging him in the end.

Amaizing product. Easy to follow along. My 11 yrs old daughter loves it, and I love it too. She does not like math at all. Brainetics helps kids realize that math can be fun, it busts their confidence. I never heard my daughter say "Please lets do another problem!", or "I would rather do this then go to bed! "

Good News - Arrived on time...Bad News - product was inside of packing box but somehow was still damaged/bent up (don't think it will affect the usability, but still kind of a bummer)*

I work in an elementary school but I bought this for a summertime learning program. Brainetics teaches necessary learning skills that are just not taught in schools. The kids think it is fun and I am having a great time teaching it.
