I took a pair of wave runners along on a three day lakeside camping trip and used these anchors to park them slightly offshore. This kept them from banging around on the rocks and branches if I had tied them up to the bank. They stayed put all three days in the sandy/muddy bottom, but they would probably work fine in the rocks as well.I also bought these cheapo anchor lines that came with a float attached to one end, so we could take the skis out and come back to clip to the floating line. We have a pontoon boat and live on the lake. This anchor works well for us. We have an anchor in the front of the boat and one at the back. We had lost one, and this one is working great. We do a lot of fishing and need to stay in one place on the lake. These anchors do the job!! I would buy again, and the price was much cheaper than in the stores I had checked.

I always have two anchors on my 23' boat; the main anchor up front attached to the boats on-board anchor winch and a low cost anchor for deploying in rocky bottoms where retrieval could be an issue. I lost my cheap anchor a few weeks ago and was going to go to the marina for a replacement, but it was near the end of the day and I did not want to pay marina prices for a cheap anchor. As I do more and more often these days, I looked right to Amazon. I thought to myself; is an anchor really something you can just order online...what about the shipping? Well, Amazon has you covered. This is a prime eligible item. Frankly, I don't even know why I questioned Amazon, they will ship just about anything in a timely manner. When it comes down to it, an anchor isn't even that heavy. I received this anchor in two days in a slim box packed with packing paper. This anchor is cheaper feeling than the anchor I just lost and the welds look a bit sloppy, but it will get the job done. It is what I wanted; a cheap anchor that I don't care if I lose. I have not used this anchor yet, but unless this anchor just fails me completely, four stars.

The thing about an anchor is that you don't really think much about it....until you need it. And when you need one, you really need one that works. That's what this anchor does -- work. I have a 19.5" bowrider, and this season has been a windy one on the lake where we do our boating. My old anchor had seen a lot of seasons and had come with the boat when I bought it. It was okay, but I noticed that any decent wind would cause it to drag. I replaced it with this Seasense anchor and immediately saw improvement -- no more dragging. The slipring is also stout, a bonus for when the anchor catches a stump or a rock. The blades are stout too...no bends or dings all summer.

Excellent anchor, and the price is fantastic! I was having problems with my current slip ring anchor (Slightly smaller than this one) and it would not catch well. We mostly have mud bottom, or rocky bottom. After buying this anchor I no longer am having that issue and am able to grab the bottom much easier. I have had multiple boats tied up to mine with only this anchor holding and its done a great job. Highly recommended and the price can't be beat with Prime shipping.

I have a 15' inflatable boat and had a 15LBs mushroom anchor that would not hold. I eventually lost the anchor and wanted to get a heavier one. I got this 20LB anchor from Amazon for the same price I got the 15lb from WestMarine. This 20LB mushroom anchor works much better because its heavier and the pedals are spread wider. It also holds the boat. The negative is that it is a little too heavy when in deep water but a must.

I gave three stars because of the low cost or it would only be 2 stars! Stamped 8lbs but weights maybe 4-5lbs hence the 6lbs shipping weight with packaging. Too light weight so it doesn't always hold well. May hold light 16-18 ft boats but not a heavy 19'. Next time I'll try a Chene CH-35, note do not use a chain with a Chene. When using this anchor style use a chain like the Greenfield 2116, it will help a lot for getting the anchor to bite. The 2114 chain is too light but works. The PVC coated chain causes it to stay straight and help set the anchor. Non-coated can bunch up or fall to the wrond end and be ineffective; stick with the PVC coated chain.

I fish in salt water, rocky bottom and areas with lots of sea grass all the time, this galvanize anchor works for me, the slip ring makes it easy to retrieve the anchor when it might get stuck anywhere.The price is great and it's lite weight makes it easy to work withthis anchor hooks fast and holds my 4000lbs boat in ruff chops with ease. me and my 10yr old son love's it
