I use these slim ice packs regularly for meal prep and they work great. The single pack keeps things cool for about 4 hours — pop in a couple, and you get even more cooling time. I love how slim they are—they don’t take up much space in my lunch cooler, unlike bulky blocks. After 1.5 months of daily use, I’ve had zero leaks, and the quality is solid. Definitely a great value for the price!

I love the size of these. They are nice and thin, enough so that if needed, I can put 2 in my child's lunchbox. But even being so thin, they still stay cold long enough. Great buy for a great price.

I must concur with many previous reviewers — there's a distinct trade-off between form and function, here, but Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers are a good solution for the right applications. Fit & Fresh's Cool Coolers are perfectly sized to include in a sandwich box or cram into a tight lunch pack, but because of their small size and the high ratio of surface area to interior, they do thaw faster than many "ice brick" products. That's worth considering when you're packing your food. That said, I am still quite happy with them. My husband, a physical therapist who specializes in clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, travels quite a bit on some days to meet his clients at their day centers. His lunches may sit in a hot car for most of the day, so keeping them cold is a priority. I pack his lunches in a well-insulated soft-sided baby bottle cooler (Childress brand, from Amazon — I bought it specifically to use as a lunch box because of its shape and excellent insulation); he puts one of these cooler bricks in before he leaves in the morning. He likes hot lunches, so any leftovers presumably are still warm when he puts them back in the bag. A single Cool Cooler brick will be thawed but still cold when he returns home; leftovers, too, will be cold. That suggests better staying power than I'd expect. In short, I wouldn't rely on one of these to cool food in an uninsulated bag all day, though I imagine you can increase cooling time by adding more Cool Coolers, if you have room. They are not quite as effective as thicker ice bricks. However, they fit nicely into tight spaces where rocket bricks don't and will keep food at a safe temperature inside an insulated bag for several hours. They also don't take up much space in the freezer, which is nice.

Overall, they’re fine for school lunches, short workdays, or a casual picnic, but if you’re planning a full day in the sun or a longer outdoor adventure, I’d recommend pairing them with something stronger. They have their niche, but they’re not quite the all-day solution the name might suggest.

My wife and I both have our own "Coleman 9-Can Soft Cooler With Hard Liner". These ice packs are a perfect size for them as they can sit flat on the bottom, vertical on the sides, or tuck away on the inside lid. This is not a "toss one in and go" product! I use mine for a 9 hour work day and I very methodically use at least 3 in my Coleman. By the end of the day I can still throw anything I didn't eat back in the fridge at home. The ice pack I use on the lid is ALWAYS spent, but the other ones in the cooler will still be marginally cold with the contents. Cons: Slim/Flat design means less cooling material and more surface area which means they thaw very quickly. - You'll need to use more than one at a time - I usually use 3 or all 4 in my 16-can cooler). We own 8! Pros: The slim/flat design makes sticking them between things or under things very easy. - You can stand 4 cans in your cooler and put one right in between the pair and it will be touching all 4 cans. - You can sit one on the bottom and put a sandwich right on top of it or put it between 2 sandwiches and not wreck the bread. - Although having to use more than one is a "con" it is also a "pro" because you can distribute them in different places since they are small and thin. The hard design means you can stuff or toss them in the freezer and not have to worry about freezing in an odd shape. - If you saw my freezer you'd know why this is a major "pro"! Once these wear out I'll probably try a different product just because it's the only way see what might be better, but they are all that I use right now and they do their job so they get the 5 stars.

I needed a solution for keeping my cooler bag as cold as possible without ice melting and sloshing around inside my bag. Found this ice pack that comes in a pack of 4. I like its slim design with holes in the middle for holding and carrying. A pack of 4 ice packs for less than $10 is a very good deal. It's not too small and not too big. They're very light and not heavy at all. I can put these along all four walls of a cooler to make sure things stay cold. I love how these do not leak, bend, or melt as opposed to using ice cubes so they are definitely durable. Kept my drinks and food cold throughout the day. Super easy to pop into the freezer and use them again in the future. Highly recommend.

Great price for the two bundles. I love the size, I use two for my small lunch bag. My coke is cold by the time my lunch is at noon. Since they are not big do not expect them to be cold the whole day. They have great size for small lunch bags, easy to clean and use.

I ordered these square flat ice packs and honestly didn’t expect to love them this much. My kids use them daily—for lunches, boo-boos, basically everything—and they’ve held up amazingly well. They stay cold for a long time, way longer than the cheap chunky ones I’ve bought in the past. They’re slim enough to fit into any lunch bag without making it bulky, and when they inevitably get sticky or dirty (because… kids), they wipe clean in seconds.
