Philips Racing Vision GT200 H4 Car Headlight Bulb +200 Percent, Set of 2

I have these in 2 cars now. One set replaced Philips Extreme Vision +130% with glass patterned lens and the other set replaced Osram Night Breaker Laser +150% with a complex reflector (plain lens). Both are H4 fittings. I've noticed Osram bulbs have a shorter life, hence changing to Philips. Both cars had more and whiter light with an even sharper beam image with GT200. There is less colour variation between dip and main with Philips. I tried an 80/100 watt standard technology bulb to try but modern high efficiency bulbs illuminate better. They have a better beam image and less glare leaking above the cut-off line. EXPERIENCE The older car has slightly degraded electrics and only produces 14.0 volts at the bulb compared with the 14.2 volts of the newer car which ran Osram previously. The older car still has GT200 bulbs. One of the GT200 bulbs in the newer car became defective after about 2 months. Both filaments operated at the same time as though connected in series and at low intensity. Fault was definitely the bulb so I swapped in an Osram which was not as good but made a reasonable pair. It was the Osram +150% which failed 18 months later- the other GT200 still works despite 18000 miles of mostly night use. This time I fitted longer lasting Philips Xtreme Vision +150% due to needing to remove bumper skin and headlamps to change bulbs. When I changed from Philips to Osram, that headlamp aim became low. Now changing from Osram to Philips, that headlamp is aimed too high. Changing Philips to Philips does not change beam height. SUMMARY GT200 are the best performing bulbs I've tried and are not hugely behind some newer cars which use LED lighting. They illuminate the road very well in dry conditions but obviously not so well in wet conditions. For wet conditions, only LED or HID gas discharge is truly satisfactory but the heat produced by halogen bulbs ensures snow melts in winter conditions. That is invaluable in the few days of snowfall which Britain may experience. Philips LED Pro 6000 sidelight bulbs match GT200 colour well. See closeup pictures for differences. The integral fitting collar on Philips bulbs seems to be fitted more evenly.

I wanted brighter headlights and fog lights and the most obvious way to do is is to buy and fit upgraded bulbs, these are completely legal unlike say LED conversions using bulbs from China which will fail the MOT. I am very satisfied with the brightness

These are far brighter than the old H4s they replaced in an old Peugeot Partner (aka Citroen Berlingo), whose old-school headlights are akin to a couple of glow worms in jars - so bad, some oncoming traffic’s auto-dipping headlights didn’t dip (despite just passing an MOT)! The bulbs even up the battle of the darkness. With really well-designed headlamps, I suspect these would be epic. But if you’re peering in the gloom, give these a try :) Sadly the sturdy plastic packaging has clips you must destroy for ingress, meaning if you want to store your old bulbs as backups (the rated life on these is pretty low) you’ll need to tape it up. But it seems churlish to deduct stars for that :)

I bought these lights in Nov 2023 and used them for 6 months. But one bulb was out this morning. Just wonder why the life of the bulb so short. I just drived 6000 miles since last bulb replaced. Disappointing on the quality of the bulb.

Yes. Much brighter than the existing bulbs supplied by Ford. It is important now brighter lights from new cars are stealing your vision that the side of the road on your dipped beams is well lit. I am pleased to say. They is a significant difference. I have a ford which is about 11 years old. I wouldn't like to go back. Light is spead further. As I say the roadside is brighter and the distance is better. There is more of a crisp view. Perhaps not as much as new cars with projection bulbs which blinds everyone coming the other way!! But definitely a worth while upgrade which for the money is worth it. These are also road legal. Do not retrofit led bulbs to front lights. Although in the EU some countries allow this (wisely). They are illegal in this country. So be sensible and don't go down a route that might melt your headlamps by buying unregulated bulbs. Halfords actually sell these LED upgrades but in the small print. They say they are for off road use. These Philips bulbs are legal. That is important.

Got these for my Nissan Note 07 and they done a perfect job! They are the exact same with all the same fittings which made it really easy to install and replace my broken ones. They are a super bright colour so even on an older car like mine they done a great job and they are not expensive compared to some others you can buy. I am not 100% sure how long they last but 6 months in and they are going strong with no signs of blowing.

High brightness and good visibility

An over all brighter light than the cars original bulbs which was a plus. However, after 15 months, of very little use, the low beam filament blew on one side and three days later the other side had the same failure. I would therefore not recommend these bulbs, nor any of this manufacturer items, due to the poor longevity and quality issues.

Amis motard foncé entre ça et la led. J'ai préféré ça car le faisceau est plus large et largement suffisamment en intensité.

Acquistai questi fari circa 5 anni fa e a dirla di molte altre recensioni definirei questa durata un piccolo record, probabilmente il merito è anche della mia auto, una volkswagen up del 2019 dove la gestione dei fari automatici ha aiutato ad allungare la vita di queste lampada alogene, quindi se avete le lampade diurne a led separate dal gruppo anabbaglianti/abbaglianti la durata è ottima rapportata al costo. Per quanto riguarda la potenza effettiva io non ho notato un incremento del 200% in modalità anabbaglianti, un piccolo incremento c'è ma nulla di incredibile parliamo comunque di un 30/40% di illuminazione in piùc come profondità, se però col faro parabolico tipico degli h4 si accendono gli abbaglianti li si che la profondità di illuminazione è impressionante e veritiera di quanto dichiarato, si avvicinano molto a dei led di media fascia.
