Good fit and an easy change out on a 2006 Silverado 1500. I watched a video that showed somebody taking off a bracket to get to the nut, but that wasn’t required with the 2006. The only extra bit of work took me putting a set of vice grips on the anti-spin tab and bending it straight on each to fit into the hole in the frame. Like one of the other reviews stated, For some reason this tab is angled inward on these replacements. I’m reading it for five stars due to the cost and that they look to be the part. I don’t know if they would last like OEM ones if repeatedly hit/utilezed.

Yes, the yellow is bold — but I actually like it. Adds a bit of contrast and makes the part stand out. Install was quick and straightforward, about 20 minutes total. On my 2004 Silverado, I didn’t need any rust remover, but depending on your truck’s condition, a penetrating oil (like PB Blaster) could help if the old nuts are seized. Basic tools you’ll want on hand: a 15mm or 18mm socket wrench (check your specific model), a breaker bar if the bolts are stubborn, and maybe a wire brush to clean up any rust on the frame contact points. It’s a simple remove-and-replace job. I reused my original nuts — I don’t recall new ones being included — but it worked just fine. Overall, easy upgrade and works exactly as expected.
