How can it snapp so easily
Bought this fishing pole less than two weeks ago and it already snapped while using only 6 lb mono line. I bought the medium fast action version. It got snagged and that’s how it broke, but it broke way too easily for a rod that’s supposed to handle normal fishing conditions. Extremely disappointed with the build quality and durability. A fishing pole should last a lot longer than this under normal use. Definitely would not recommend.

Solid rods for the price
I now have three of these inshore rods for slot reds, flounder, and trout. You won’t find a better value with the feel, performance, and build quality. Pair these with a Daiwa Black Gold 2500 or 3000 and you have a setup ready for any inshore species.

Vendor has no idea how to ship
Why would someone ship a rod in the thin clear plastic bag that St Croix puts on their rods. as you can see by the picture the rod tip is by the handle. this is a one piece rod.

Eyelets are not two footed like the picture shows
I specifically bought this rod because the picture shows that it has two footed eyelets. The rod I received has one footed eyelets and as usual I had to bend several of them to get them to where they should be. Probably not a big deal but that was the main reason I bought this rod.

Very disappointed with customer service.
Customer service is lacking. I ordered a casting rod over the weekend and realized I should have selected a spin rod. My bad. Within 5 min of the order I tried to edit my order but the online web site has no way to edit. I than left a message to customer support to see if they could change my order to the spin rod and asked for a call back when they received my message. There is not any customer support over the weekend at all. No return calls from St. Croix. I followed up a few days later and they said no problem just return the rod for $25 dollars and order the correct spin rod. That is some great support right there. They need to look into how to return support calls and have an edit order function on their website. Very Disappointed in customer care. Will not be purchasing their products in the future.
