These trash/recycling bins are great. They fit in my cabinet perfectly. They slide out and in smoothly with no problem. They were also very easy to install.

I just moved from a house which had no good place for a wastebasket. There was no floorspace for one and the sink cabinet had a shelf in it which precluded using and pull-out wastebasket like this one. I had to keep the kitchen trashcan in the pantry — on the other side of the kitchen from the sink/food preparation area.The new house doesn't have much floor space either but the sink cabinet did have room for this pull-out wastebasket. It installed easily (I'm a senior citizen & had my nephew install it for me) and works smoothly. I love that it holds 2 cans, one for trash & one for recycling. I purchased 2 lids (1 white for trash and 1 green for recycle) and the whole shebang slides in and out of the cabinet very easily. I wish I could have used something like this in my old house — it's been perfect for my needs.

I just remodeled my laundry room and bought two of these to install in the cabinets as built-in sorting bins, so when I open the doors they slide right out. Each one was a perfect fit for the standard cabinet sizes. And Each bin fits a perfect full load of clothes so I can throw then right in when I fill up a bin. Took 5 mins to install and they’re easy to clean and smooth sliding action. I would buy all the rev a shelf products for my other remodel projects in a second.

Let me first comment on the end product: This is a very high quality pull-out waste basket system that is meant to be installed in an open cabinet with either an existing hinged door or an attached door. I had to do a little bit of research on rev-a-shelf.com to be sure that I was buying the model that fits my cabinet, since the descriptions here on amazon are less than adequate. So be sure to cross-reference the model number with their website to ensure you are buying the right model. Further, I had to do a little research to find a model that can be used to replace my old pull out system with my old cabinet door. Rest assured, the model I am reviewing can be used for exactly that purpose. Be aware because some of the rev-a-shelf models are made only for swing out doors and are not meant to be attached to a door as this model is. Also, although it looks like this model comes with a door, it only includes the inner system itself and it is meant to be attached to an existing cabinet door. It also comes with two very nice trash bins, all packaged neatly and safely together. When all is said and done, this is a very sturdy and attractive set that looks and feels to be of very high quality. The operation is smooth and the system features an "automatic" closing feature that will literally close the drawer for you once you get it within about an inch or so of its destination. This is kind of hard to describe, but if you go try out any new drawer or cabinet at your local showroom that has this feature, you'll know immediately that you want it. And this system features it for relatively little money. Overall, you will definitely be happy with your purchase when all is said and done.OK, so now that all the minor details of having picked the right model are sorted out, we can move onto the business of installing the thing. Unfortunately, like most projects, this is not quite as easy as it looks. The package does include some very nice illustrated instructions with templates that can be used to make the installation a little easier. But there are a few problems that you may encounter along the way. The first is that there are no written instructions - only illustrations. This may not seem like much of a problem at first, until you actually try to follow along with the thing. I'm honestly still not certain that I covered every step because there are a few illustrations that I simply could not understand. Secondly, the installation requires a flat surface from front to back - meaning, if your cabinet has a "lip" at the front, like many do, you will have to make some modifications. In my case, I went out and bought some 1/4" strip and raised the entire installation up past the lip. It all came out fine, but it did add some steps that I wasn't expecting. Finally, the templates, although useful, were not the easiest to use, mostly because the close proximity of the fold marks to the edge of the paper made it difficult to maintain straight fold lines. Because of this, I was forced to measure more than the instructions would imply - which is probably not a bad thing, but, again, added time that I didn't think I would have to incur.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. My old system broke down and this is a very welcomed DIY upgrade. But I do have to deduct one star for the installation - not because it was incredibly difficult, but just because it was more difficult than it had to be - and, more importantly, more difficult than they said it would be.I hope this helps...

The picture shows it attached to a door, but note: that is using an optional bracket, not included in the package. I did a lot of research and measured over and over to make sure I would get a unit that fit under my new sink, which is 60/40 and much deeper than my original sink. This one was perfect for beneath the "40" side (which is not as deep)! It clears the drain pipes perfectly, because it sits sideways in the bracket. I was worried about installation, but it couldn't have been easier!! It came in a huge box, completely assembled and all you had to do was screw in 4 screws. I've had it for a few weeks now and it is very sturdy and well built. One hitch: It is a little tall, so you always have to pull it out to put anything in it. My hand barely slips between the can and the cabinet, but it holds a tall kitchen garbage bag full of trash, so it's worth not having to change it out a lot. I use the space behind the can for storage of trash bags.EDIT 6/5/21. still holding up and functioning relatively smoothly. Periodically I have to adjust the bottom (sliding) brackets by pushing them closer together or straightening them out, but I think it is because the screws arent tight enough.. but again: good quality and durable.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to install, 5-6 minutes tops! I would dry fit it before screwing in down to ensure doors shut and nothing is in the way; if you’re installing under your sink!Wish I did this years ago!

We’ve been happy with this rev a shelf pull out trash bin. It’s nice when prepping food to pull it out and have the bin slightly closer due to being on the pull out shelf.Note the trash can we are using is from IKEA since it had the lid while the one that came with it did not.One thing to keep in mind. DO NOT push the trash down while the can is in the holder. While the slider is pretty sturdy, we bent it slightly the first day because of this. Pull the can out and put it on the ground if you’re going to compact the trash.

Installed easily even though it was a very tight are to work in. Rolls in and out easily. It has a good garbage container so you don't need to go out to the garbage can as often. We have used it for three months now and we are very happy with the purchase. We also purchased the lid.

Works great in our kitchen under our sink. Great to have recycle and garbage together. Only weakness is that there is no covers.

Good quality and easy to instal. However, it does not have a handle.
