I like that theres a different sound to some of the tracks we know and love. Its always nice to hear a twist.

A really great collection of remastered Wham! songs. The sound quality is amazing and this set even includes a few rare mixes of songs like the video mix of Wham Rap!, an extended version of Bad Boys and an alternate mix of A Ray Of Sunshine featured on the Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go single. This set also includes is Blue (Armed With Love) which was previously only available on the Club Tropicana single as a B-side. Probably the only complaint I have was including an instrumental version of Last Christmas over A Different Corner. I’m aware it’s billed as a George Michael song, but it was included on both The Final and Music From The Edge Of Heaven and since Careless Whisper was included on this set you’d think that would have been added as well. I don't regret buying this as it was really expensive, but it was unfortunate that the Blu Ray wouldn't play here in Canada. So it was a lot of money just for the Audio CD portion. BUT, it's such a great CD that sounds amazing and worth it just for the Instrumental of Last Christmas. If the combo was priced around $50 CAD that would have been better. I might have to try and find a universal DVD player as I really wanted to watch the videos.

The biggest surprise for me was the single version of Wham Rap! (perhaps more well known as the video version). The much longer (and drawn-out) album mix has appeared on all previous Wham compilations. There’s also Blue (Armed With Love) - Wham’s only true b-side, and has never appeared on a Wham CD before in its original studio-recorded version.The Tube version of A Ray of Sunshine is quite different to the album version, and the extended mixes of I’m Your Man and Bad Boys are also rare on CD.The DVD is interesting. The likes of Careless Whisper, Young Guns and Bad Boys still look like they’ve been transferred from a VHS tape or worse, but the HD restoration of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go is amazing, as is the 4K remaster of Last Christmas. It’s a slight pity that some of the other videos couldn’t get this treatment.The bonus DVD content is nice to have. A Ray of Sunshine from The Tube, I’m Your Man extended stimulation mix, Freedom from Wogan and the three amusing adverts.In all, this is a very good set, and a pity the UK arm of Sony can’t seem to come up with anything like this. It’s pricey but worth it for the rarities.
