months of work in one book!
i am neurodivergent and have depression/anxiety along with chronic illnesses. i bought this workbook in Nov 2022, it's now almost April and I'm on page 27. my score is just barely the higher level of self confidence - i feel like the test at the beginning isn't reflective of actual confidence levels, so don't be discouraged if your number is high. you'll still benefit from this workbook. i practiced mindfulness before this book, and the exercises helped me expand my practice; not just identify thoughts but also separate judgments vs facts, and then replace judgements with compassionate responses, instead of just acknowledging the intrusive thoughts and letting them pass by. lots of journal entries and time spent practicing the techniques instead of moving to the next one. take time to process things! definitely recommend

Best Self-Compassion Book I’ve read
Absolutely loved this workbook. I’m a therapist and found this incredibly user friendly for the average person. I loved how easy it was to follow and it wasn’t too “over the top”, making it easy for someone new to self-impassion exercises to feel comfortable trying for the first time. A great variety of exercises. This book is much more approachable and easy to read/follow than Brene Brown or Kristen Neffs books (though I love their work and the author referenced them often). I will be referencing this workbook to many of my clients!

Really nice workbook!
Love the workbook. It has some great thought exercises and suggestions as well as general education about self-compassion.The cover of the book itself is very nicely textured and the pages are thick enough that my highlighter does not bleed through. Can't wait to use with my clients!

I absolutely love this book! As I work with my clients through this book I am seeing amazing results. My clients are starting to recognize their critical inner voice for the first time and learning how to interrupt it.
