If GutSense is supposed to be refrigerated after opening how does the bacteria survive the heat during shipping?

The following is copied & pasted from Dr. Dobias's website. It was also answered in the video where Dr. Dobias explains everything about "Gutsense" & how it is protected by the included prebiotic. HOW DOES IT SURVIVE THE STOMACH ACIDS? Question: "But I'd like to know how gutsense survives the stomach acids and doesn't need refrigeration?" Answer:"We include prebiotic as 'food' for the bacteria to ensure it's survival within the capsules and through your dog's stomach acid, so it can reach the gut and allow for the culture to flourish there. We recommend for it to be refrigerated once opened, but it is processed in such a way that it is definitely fine in sealed form without refrigeration. Thanks for your kind words about Skai, we miss him too. Alicia, Dr. Dobias' Healing Ambassador Team"

Is the probiotic in capsule form? is it dairy free?

Yes it is in capsule form but they suggest you open and add to food. Yes it is dairy free. And it is organic. Love it.

Can I use this for cats

No. It is formulated only for dogs. Check Dr. Dobias' website. He might has one formulated for cats.

Does this come refrigerated?
