Keys on card does not line up with keys on Full Size Keyboard with 88 keys
The first few line up but as you go down the line by the time you get to the end of the card the keys are split. You can sort of finagle it to work by splitting the difference but it causes some issues with alignment.

Easy to learn, easy to teach!
My granddaughter asked me to teach her to play the piano. We have a piano, but I do not “play”, I played the violin and sing in the choir so I read treble clef…. This book is helping me learn so I can teach her - she comes over every Sunday for her lesson. It’s been fun❣️

I learned to play the piano in just 7 days!
The good... I learned to play the piano in only 7 days! The first day I went through the treble cleft to lesson 5. The next day I reviewed lesson 5 and continued on through to lesson 10. The third day I reviewed lesson 5, lesson 10 and continued on through lesson 13. Day 4 review 5, 10, 13, then through 15. Day 5 review 5, 10, 13, 15, then through 19. Day 6 review 5, 10, 13, 15, 19, and through 23 (but in hindsight I probably should have done 24 as well). During these days you don't have to move your finger locations and work start work with just one hand, then the other, then both. So you can know which keys to hit by the note names, the finger locations, matching their color with the color of the paper board in front of you. A lot of "crutches" available to get your feet wet and to become very dependent on IF you linger too long in these lessons...After the point above it starts to get a little tricky if you don't have a lot of experience reading music or you are very rusty as they no longer provide the notes (that you have probably become a bit dependent on), but as long as you understand where your fingers are and that they don't need to relocate much if at all, you can slowly piece it together. Day 7 I did review 5, 10, 13, 15, 19, and then I went from lesson 24 through the rest of the book!Pros:I looked forward to my quiet time in the evening when it was just me and my keyboard for around 30 minutes. I'm a mom of 3 young ones so that time can be hard to come by. But I found the steps in this book pleasurable and didn't dread them. No, you aren't doing well known songs from the get go, so maybe it might not be as engaging for a child that just wants to play, but the note assortments are fine and work your brain to the level it's at.Strengthens your hands gradually. The first time with each hand might be a bit uncomfortable, and the reaching of your arms might feel unnatural. But then you build up strength and muscle memory. When they took away the note labels it was helpful to have the chart behind the keyboards for when I wasn't sure what note I wanted. The chart fit securely and perfectly behind the keys of my 61 key keyboard. I quickly located it mostly by color. This is preferable to stickers on the keys as I think those would be more of a crutch, and could be difficult to remove. I rarely used the key chart in the first 5 days, but it was helpful on day 6 and 7, especially when I was attempting the songs. Within days after I stopped using the chart, no issues.I'm playing from another beginner piano book now that has one note on both clefs at a time, often times together, and doesn't label the notes. I'm easily able to do treble just from learning from this book. Putting the treble and bass together is a bit of a challenge, but I am ABLE to slowly. Reading the music still offers some challenge but you don't expect to know a new language in just weeks.Cons:Just a few practice days in the cover came off the staples. It was also hard to keep this book open and I would often have to stop my practice to fold it backwards against to try to keep it open.It seems quite intimidating at first. If you look through it without actually starting it, it will look overwhelming... at least if you are new/very rusty. You will see in a matter of days you could potentially be playing with 2 fingers on the left hand while you play with one finger on the right. BUT you can move at your own pace. Just because I made it through in 7 days, doesn't mean everyone will or should have the same result. Take it just one lesson per day at a time if you feel overwhelmed. It feels incomplete in it's instructions. It doesn't explain when/how you switch your finger placement, especially on the bass clef. And when the songs in the back go out of the notes you have already learned (like you do high A and never had before you got to that song) it doesn't guide how to get there or what fingers you would use.Helpful Note: Other helpful guides online have said to 1) Use your 3 middle fingers for notes you hold a short time and your end thumb and pinky for notes that you hold. 2) If you are doing a bunch of notes climbing up or down the keys then tuck the thumb under the other fingers going high, and place the middle ones over the thumb if going down. But I'm no expert and I wish this part of fingering was addressed in this book. (It's addressed a bit in my new beginner songbook, or rather it tells me which fingers to use for which keys, so I learned that it's not set in stone and just has to do with flow.)Overall very pleased with this book. I'm amazed that I got a good basic understanding and sort of can play a few popular songs at the end of a week!!! Update: My husband who hasn't played in decades, but did when he was 6-12 years of age has been following my guide to this the past 6 days with a lot of success. He finds it engaging enough and simple. I think he too will be playing the whole thing, including the songs within 7 days... we find out tonight how he handles them as he's at the end now.

Must have for new students
I love this product. My child and I cannot read sheet music. In less than 5 minutes we were able to start playing songs by reading the sheet music and the guide. Finally, it’s not so daunting. This has really encouraged us. Thank you!

metodo per pianoforte
Il prezzo è troppo elevato per il valore reale del libro, che in realtà è un opuscolo. Forse si sono fatti pagare l'idea...
