Titles in This Set: The New Friend The Big Balloon The Bedtime Frog The Little Puddle The Super Scooter The Scary Monster The Snowy Day The Christmas Tree Description: The New Friend Pip and Posy are having a lovely day at the seaside, collecting shells and digging the sand. But when Posy has a nap, Pip makes friends with a boy called Zac. Zac is very cool: he has lots of fun toys and beach gear, AND he's really good at handstands. The Big Balloon Pip is very proud of his big red balloon. But when he lets the balloon go and it pops, he isinconsolable. Luckily, Posy has a clever idea to cheer up her friend and soon they are having fun again The Bedtime Frog When Posy goes to stay at Pip's house they have lots of fun together before bedtime. But just as they switch out the light, disaster strikes: Posy realises that she has forgotten her favourite frog toy. Keen to help his distraught friend, Pip offers Posy a range of different toys to substitute for her frog, including his own favourite frog money box The Little Puddle Pip and Posy are best friends – they love to play, and make things, and have fun. But just occasionally they get cross or sad, and sometimes things go wrong that are beyond their control. And that’s when kindness and understanding – and a cuddle – make everything better. In The Little Puddle, Pip comes to play at Posy’s house. The friends have such a fun time playing that Pip forgets he needs to go to the loo, and soon there’s a little puddle on the floor. But everyone has accidents sometimes, so Posy mops it up, and lends him some clothes. The next time Pip needs a wee, he does it in the potty all by himself. The Super Scooter Pip and Posy are best friends – they love to play, and make things, and have fun. But just occasionally they get cross or sad, and sometimes things go wrong that are beyond their control. And that’s when kindness and understanding – and a cuddle – make everything better. In Pip and Posy and the Super Scooter, Posy snatches Pip’s scooter and tries to ride it. Unfortunately, it’s harder than it looks and she falls off, giving herself a nasty cut. Though Pip was very cross, he comes running to help Posy in her moment of need, giving her a plaster for her sore knee. Posy apologises to Pip, and together they build a sandcastle in the sandpit, where it’s nice and soft. The Scary Monster When Pip comes to Posy's house wearing a scary monster mask, he gives Posy a bit of a fright! Oh, dear! But when she works out it's only Pip, she feels much better, and they share the biscuits she's made. Hooray The Snowy Day Pip and Posy can't wait to go out and play in the snow. They have fun, until they decide to build a snowman and things start to go pear-shaped. Pip wants to build a snowRABBIT but Posy wants a snowMOUSE! Oh dear! Happily they resolve their differences over a cosy craft session indoors. The Christmas Tree It's Christmas time and Pip and Posy are busy decorating the tree with candy sticks, and biscuits, and a beautiful sugar star. But the strange thing is that, every time Posy goes out of the room, when she returns, there's one less decoration on the tree. Eventually, there are NO decorations left AT ALL . . . oh, dear! All young readers will enjoy the moment when Posy finds Pip lying on the sofa, feeling sick, but will they guess how she decides to tackle Pip? A charming and funny new Pip and Posy story from the illustrator of The Gruffalo, Axel Scheffler, about the problems caused by telling fibs, with gentle lessons about being kind and tooth-brushing! Review: great books - this was a great set my grandson loved them! Review: GREAT books. Not board books - just board covers. - We absolutely love these books for our 1+ year old. They're so sweet, every book has a little conflict where the two kids end up learning how to be nice to one another. Teaches great lessons for dealing with conflict or accidents. Illustrations are great. We bought this set because it said board book, but they are not board books - just board covers. The pages are thick paper however, so sturdy if your kid has learned good manners with pages and won't tear easily.

Not as Described
I returned the Pip and Posy collection because they were described as board books, but were actually large books with paper pages. I was wanting these for young toddlers.

Got the British version
My son got this from my brother as we added this book set in his gift registry. My brother bought this set from this exact Amazon page. The books we got are different from the picture of the description and are also different from the ones we borrow from our local library. The books we got are British versions with wordings different from the US versions. For example, “wee” instead of “pee” or “sledge” instead of “sled”. The price indicated on the book is in EUR, too. Also, “Camilla Reid” is listed as one of the authors while there is only Scheffler listed as the author in the US version. We still keep the books since it’s a gift and we can’t find other Pip and Posy books set on Amazon and ask my brother to replace it. But be aware if you would prefer the US version instead of the British version.

Good value for the money.
Bought this set of books for my 2 year old granddaughter as I know she will love them. She loves watching Pip and Posy as they are her favourite TV show.
