These 2 1/2" clamps work really well in our dust extraction system. I recommend them for hose connections in the 2 1/2" size. They are easy to use with good sized thumb screws and work well with hoses that have grounding or are smooth.

I bought these to use around a floating hose to a dog grooming tub to hold a filter on the bottom to prevent dog hair from going down the drain. It was the perfect size, with a lot to spare. The clamp part that you twist is kind of difficult to turn and the metal is very thin. Each turn feels a bit awkward, but in the end, it does what it should. I probably wouldn't use this for heavy duty jobs, just light/medium duty.

There is not much that is more infuriating than trying to get a slot screwdriver into the slot of a hose clamp and keep it there while tightening the thing sufficiently, all the while wondering when the screwdriver will slip and you will impale your hand. When the location allows for one of these thumb-screw clamps, they are a dream compared to the old style.

the tab to screw it is a little weaker than the lasts i purchased. however, they held up and did the job perfectly.
