will this work with newport brass 1-028

Hi Gerald, the tempress II gave me a very hard time installing. I have a Cal Facet and the geared part of the tempress would not slip on. I had to force it on. Next time I need to replace it I will go directly to Cal Faucet. The Tempress was suppose to be interchangeable with Cal Faucet but was not. Don't what it will do with the Newport brass but good luck. Frank
