Works well for 12-volt cooling fans.
This unit was scavenged to hardwire into a 120-volt air compressor switch coupled to 12-volt cooling fans attached to the outside of a noise baffle box for the compressor.

Extendable router power supply
This and a CCTV power extension cable got my Netgear Orbi router set up 20' away from the wall outlet it's plugged into. Runs cool to the touch powering 42w. Go slow and low with those heat shrink closures and they will work fine and even stay flexy afterwards. Measured 11.9V during initial testing prior to installation. No complaints.

Does the job, but will need parts
It is working well outside and is waterproof thus far. You don't get that much conductor on the distribution side so you'll need to plan your cuts carefully. And it you're using this for LED strips like I did, you'll need solder and heat shrink as well as additional conductor like lamp wire to complete the job. It comes with only two heat shrink tubes of its own, so you'll definitely need more.

Low quality transformers
We had this installed and it lasted 2 weeks. I now have to replace out for the fourth time. I think all the transformers are cheap. We have it specked correctly for the amount of led lights we are using. Any ideas?

Straightforward and trouble-free
I bought this 300W power supply exactly 2 years ago for the outdoor lighting in my front yard. It has performed flawlessly since then, despite scores of power company glitches (my power company is PG&E; for anyone than knows, that should say plenty).
