This is a great paint set, if only the canvas was bigger. It's great for the price though!

I am new to painting and this is a great set to get started. Acrylic is a great choice over oil paint for beginners as it dries faster and is more forgiving in my opinion. The paint knives have a metal heads which is an upgrade over the plastic one that I had. The tabletop easel is sturdy and it come with a nice set of assortment of brushes and flat canvas sizes. The pallets are cool. I never used one. I always use SOLO paper plates so this is a cool upgrade as well. Packaged in a nice wrapped presentation-giftable box. This set was purchased for my granddaughter. She absolutely loved it! It included everything even the easel. She was able to open the box, unpack it and start painting. The color varieties were great, quality pigmentation, it was so easy to use. The plastic palette tray is easy to clean up.

There were no instructions on the assembly of the easel? May sound silly but would be very helpful. Not everyone that buys this is knowledgeable. Simple instructions would be nice. Other than that I am enjoying it.

This would make a great gift for someone who had always wanted to try painting. There are a variety of paint colors to experiment with. I ended up buying additional brushes in larger sizes. One of the cups was chipped as other reviewers have stated. It would have been extremely helpful to include some type of “getting started” brochure - maybe an intro on mixing colors, types of brush strokes and simple exercises to follow to create a simple painting.

Finally I can paint nite at home, wearing what I want, drinking what I want, and save lots of money. One day I hope to figure out how to use the wooden palate. The easel took a minute to adjust (slides up and down to fit the canvas) but it’s great to be able to customize the angles. The canvases of various shapes and sizes (medium-large rectangle or square) are thin and strong. While I prefer cloth stretched over wood frame, the set is generous. The brush collection is impressively diverse. The paint colors art vibrant. Only caution: beware the the challenge of poking them open - the tubes themselves are thin and puncture easily. Good thing I was home and could finger paint!

I bought this set for my grandkids to paint rocks with and it was worth it! The markers are vibrant and easy to work with, my 4 year old grandkids love them. The best part is they wash off easily :)
