First time using this kind of wax, but seems to do the job!
Redid some super expensive, ugly, store bought lamps. Painted lamps with some primer, then matte chalk paint. Once dry, I used a chip brush to apply this liming wax. Gave my lamps the perfect country chic finish!

A complete waste of money!
I bought it despite the negative reviews. I tried to return the unopen product and realized it is not returnable, which is ridiculous. So since I cannot return it, I just decided to use it. The wax is super dry and very hard to apply. I don't recommend this wax.

Love it! Make quick work of antiquing a dark brown wrought iron piece that I had. And had a reasonable cure time as well.

Too caked and turns to particles. Cannot "load up brush."
Does not lighten wooden surface as promised. Too dry and uneven.

Perfect for the look I wanted!
First of all, I bought this product at Ace Hardware for $15.99. I wasn't actually sure if this was the right product for the look I was going for. I am doing a full kitchen remodel, and wanted to change the look of my gross oak kitchen table and chairs instead of replacing them. My new kitchen will have somewhat of an antique feel to it, with off white cabinets with a greyish glaze, and a ashy grey hardwood floor. I first did 3 coats of a dark stain (General Finishes Java gel stain...no sanding!) Then I did a clear top coat. When that dried, I used the liming wax. I applied, pretty heavily, in sections and wiped and buffed as I went along. I LOVE how it turned out. Even though it looks old and distressed, it still has a really nice shine! It will be PERFECT in my new kitchen! (I also used Amy Howard One Step Paint in Linen for the base of my table and framework of my chairs.)

... cabinets in Goodman and this Liming wax and I love the look
I did my kitchen cabinets in Goodman and this Liming wax and I love the look! It was super easy to use and I love how the wax hardens overtime.

Not impressed
Wax was difficult to apply. It was very crumbly and messy with tiny bits of wax that flew everywhere when brushing it on.
