The best audio based language program
Pimsleur is the best audio based language program I've found and I'm so glad they have an Irish program now!

Cheap Packaging
As much as I paid for this, it would have been nice to have better packaging than a paper box and paper CD holder. I am going to have to buy something just to store it with the rest of my language materials. I have found that I prefer Living Language. I studied three languages in school and enjoy adding new languages in my spare time, but I am not enjoying this program as much as I have others.

Love it
I actually used the "short course" version because that's what the public library had on the shelf. I assume it's the same, but it has 2 lessons fewer. I'll be buying the digital copies of the last 2 lessons. I had started learning Irish with the "Teach Yourself" series, but I was frustrated by the limited audio because Irish spelling and pronunciation are not intuitive. I was uncertain about learning without any written portion, but having made it through 7 of the lessons, I think it's actually better this way. I thought the pacing was perfect. I did most of the lessons 3 times to get really solid on the material (I've never been good with languages). My favorite thing about it is that because there is no written portion, I can do all the lessons while I'm doing housework, so I don't have to set aside extra time out of my very busy schedule. Only disappointment is the limited number of lessons. Obviously, there's no chance of gaining fluency in 10 half-hour lessons. I emailed the Pimsleur company to recommend they expand the series, and got a very nice response saying they would like to, but there is not sufficient demand, but they keep track of requests, so if anyone, like me, would like to see a part 2 or 3 or 4 of this, go on their website and request it!
