Bought this to add on to my cranky cable modem/router. Followed the instructions and it worked right out of the box. Easy to configure, easy to assign static IP's for the things that need them. I like the fact that it auto-updates the firmware (I don't think the cable company has ever updated they one they make me use). This product was very thoughtfully designed to be an add-on so as not to interfere with the primary equipment supplied by the cable company. I like it so much I have now moved everything over to it and have even turned off the wireless in my cable modem/router. I highly recommend this router to anyone needing to extend/upgrade their wireless (I now have a 5 ghz channel, yay!), wanting a second internal network or setting up a DMZ.

It really helps to reach the highest speed as my internet provider allows! ---------------------------------------------------- Half a year later, the router is not reliable anymore. Especially, the 5G band does not work anymore....Always fail to connect.....Any way to fix it?

the product arrived in good condition and set it up. Wifi connected to phone but not able to open the apps up. Will try and connect straight to computer and see if that will fix the problem. Otherwise it looks good, arrived undamaged and easy to set up.

I had trouble trying to figure out where to plug in all the wires. But I called Linksys customer service & a very helpful representative walked me through step by step. He also helped me do the settings for it on the computer dashboard. This was for my moms computer and her previous router was also a Linksys & just died after 16 years. So I believe this is a good brand & was really impressed with their tech support.

This router touts up to 1000 sf of range, but I doubt it gets that far. Don't even waste your time or money on this product unless you live in a 10x10 box. It's weak-weak-weak! I tried placing a Wifi booster in the next room (about 25 feet away) and the booster even had trouble connecting to it. I only live in a 1200 sf house and it wouldn't reach my garage or two other rooms. Although I have to admit that Linksys does make their routers easy to setup.

Three years later and it still works like new.

Took a bit of work to get this thing working. It didn’t automatically go through the set up as the firmware was way outdated. I finally got it to work by disconnecting from modem and just plugging into computer connecting to the router then plugging modem back in. It does randomly drop internet. Boots right back up and works fine. I have noticed dropping internet maybe 2-3 times a week. This is a cheaper option as routers go. So makes since that it isn’t perfect.
