Does this tool remove vinyl soffit?

I used to remove vinyl soffit that was used vertically on the side of a house, so the answer is yes.

Can you use this to install siding on the starter strip? Having a super hard time installing ours.

Should be able to.when I was putting mine up, I was installing refurbished siding. There were times the connecting piece was smashed or dented. Had to reshape with hot air gun or pry apart to fit it behind. Good luck

Can I use this for aluminum siding?

No, aluminum siding is an entirely different way of working. Vinyl siding will twist and bend. These tools work great to reach in and twist out the locking channel so you can make a connection. Aluminum does not work like that and will bend and kink permanently.
