Quality and price
Very good deal.T.YBut what size is the threads on the back part of the device that accepts a big plastic lock nut for alternate mounting option without drilling four mounting holes ?Thank you in advance. You made this option why not include the nut.Is this an engineering oversight ?🚫👃☝️

1-7/8" Ignore instructions!
Glad I read mcfingrs review. The listing shows 1-3/4" diameter. The included instructions say to drill a 2" hole. NO! You need to drill a 1-7/8" diameter hole. I bought this on Amazon: Mollom Heavy Duty Carbide Hole Saw, Hole Cutter cuts Stainless Steel, mild Steel, Iron, Copper, Brass, Plastic ( 1-7/8'' 48mm ). Perfect. Cut through the aluminum side panel on my pontoon boat. Now I can charge the batteries without removing the seat cover, opening the hatch or leaving an electric cord laying on the deck. It's only been a couple of days so I can't speak to durability but so far a great purchase. I do think it should be mounted vertically to avoid any water seeping in. The only improvement might be if the manufacturer included a big plastic nut to screw onto the threaded body from the back.

Definitely not "waterproof", hole size needed is 2"
A few issues with this that make it mediocre at best. The hole size needed for install is 2", not the 1.75" the pictures and description in the listing seem to suggest. Even the instructions that came with the plug state a 2" hole is needed. It'd be nice if the listing was updated to not cause confusion. This plug is absolutely not waterproof. At best I'd call it mildly water resistant. I installed this on a horizontal surface on a camper trailer so the receptacle is facing upwards. First issue is that the plastic base where the prongs are attached has a gap around the entire circumference of the receptacle that is very much open and allows water to pass through. Secondly, the cap that blocks the receptacle when not in use is not the tightest fit, so water can absolutely make its way in. While driving in wet conditions, a LOT of water made its way through the receptacle and into the battery compartment on my camper trailer. Definitely not a good place for water to be. I went to town with some silicone sealant and have a more water resistant receptacle now, but I'm still not convinced it is going to be as tight as I need.So long story short, if you are planning to mount this horizontally or otherwise in a place that will see a fair amount of moisture, I'd look for a different plug. If you're going for a vertical mount with little to no moisture around and definitely won't be using the receptacle during adverse weather, then it's fine.

Nice addition for my camper
Great addition if you want to have shore power or charger hookups on your camper. The rubber cover is “waterproof” but doesn’t actually seal very well. It’s more of a dust cover. Unless your doing water crossings frequently this will work great. The wire is also not molded onto the plug so you can wire in a longer cable if you needed to.

Excellent product works well
All you need is a 2” hole saw and a Phillips screwdriver. Excellent product.

Fairly good quality
I generally use a different brand, but decided to give this a try. Easy to install. I'm a little skeptical about the dependability of the cover flap, but so far it is working well.

Great construction.
I used this for a non-traditional purpose, mounting it into a guitar pedalboard case to furnish power for an internally-mounted power supply. It works flawlessly, and the protective cover is an awesome plus.
