A perfect book! Ideal for beginners, but also an excellent reference full of useful information for those with some experience. Just the right amount of history & background, as well as a lovely bit on color & inspiration (an overlooked but often challenging aspect of the process). Lovely step-by-step photos make it easy to follow the instructions.Where other marbling how-to’s tend toward the dry & didactic, feature lackluster examples or are scant on detail, Scott’s passion and enthusiasm for the craft suffuses the whole book, and her gorgeous designs are lively and unique. Just buy this one already, and if/when you’re ready for more combed patterns, look for Diane Maurer’s classic. These are really the only marbling books you’ll ever need.
