It came with a certificate and was as described with the exception of the shape. I am guessing that the seller uses one picture for a lot of similar sizes gems. I plan to use this one as a practice for gem cutting but was hoping for something a bit less irregular. Either way you can't really beat the price. The 2nd one I received was even better. It still was cloudy but was a lot more translucent and a much better shape. Its very pretty just not transparent.

This “corundum” fooled me for about 3 seconds—just long enough to pick it up. It weighs nothing, flakes like a stale croissant, and has none of the shape, cleavage, or hardness of actual corundum. Instead of a Mohs 9 gemstone, I got a brittle mystery rock dressed up in Smurf paint. Amazon made it right, but this product? A geological disappointment.

I ordered a natural sapphire and was looking forward to it because you know blue is beautiful. Unfortunately the pretty little stone came broken and the nice little index card came damaged. It's possible it could have happened during shipping, but just kinda bummed it had to be the one I was looking forward to the most. I also ordered a Ruby witch arrived perfect. The info cards they send about the stones are a nice touch.

The sapphire is a lovely color and a decent value for the price. The one complaint I have is that the description says it’s a natural blue sapphire but the gem certification card that came with it said it’s been color-enhanced. I’m not sure why the seller doesn’t disclose this as it is important information. Many people like the enhanced color but some want their sapphires to not be color-enhanced even if that means getting a lighter blue stone. Sellers need to truthfully disclose in their listings when gemstones are color-enhanced so buyers know exactly what they are getting at the time of purchase and not find out once they receive the item that it isn’t what they were led to believe it was.

The appearance, quality, and color of this sapphire is stunning. I will be purchasing from his seller again! It came with white gloves, and a booklet describing other minerals as well as information about my purchase of a sapphire. My 11 year old Alexander has quite a collection.

The sample will add to my collection. It arrived on time and in great condition. I am very pleased.
