This is a heavy-duty product. Installation is fairly easy and the top and bottom mounts have heavy-duty rubber bases under the main mounts which was great for installation on tile flooring. It is designed to be supported under a ceiling joist which makes sense. Fantastic product.

This was a game changer for helping a loved one stand up!
My husband could not get up from the toilet, and this is the first product that finally helped him be independent again. Our son installed it in the perfect place for him to lift himself back up, instead of using a commode, or a bed pan. It has also helped strengthen his arm muscles, and we love that the bar is able to adjust to assist with standing.

WELL DESIGNED AND USEFUL SUPPORT POLE
Very handy support pole for exiting the shower. It's also positioned to help getting on/off the toilet, so for me it dual purpose. I had a pro install it for me, since they were also installing a glass tub enclosure.

Overall well made.
The product is too expensive, relative to others. The product is strong but, instructions lack just a little detail. ex. There is a metal sleeve covering the tightening bolts. Careful to order the $80 extension if you have 10' ceilings. Overall well made.

Great but corroded in shower or bathtub,
To help disabled spouse get seated in bath. First one rusted after a couple of years in shower stall. I have just acquired a second one to which I am attaching a sacrificial zinc clamp intended for a marine propeller shaft. Time will tell if that slows corrosion.

The installation instructions are seriously flawed.
The pictorial instructions are inadequate and there are no written instructions. I have a scientific background as a college professor, but I struggled to understand the installation. The engineering design is awesome; however, the position of the horizontal bar is too low. We had to remove the upper white bushing in order to raise the horizontal bar. My 3-star rating is for the installation, but the design concept and operation of the pole/bar system receives a 5-star rating. Compared to the traditional pole system, this system design and operation is so simple, but at the same time is a genius.

the pole height
I didnot pay attention to the pole height. I have standard height ceilings 91 inches. the pole height starts at 93inches. Beacuse the pole can extend several inches I never thought it would be too tall . It is exactly what I needed, but now I have to return it... unnecessary cost.
