A great tasting coffee!
Was in Albuquerque and had the best cup of coffee ever in one of the coffee shops. I asked what type of coffee they used & she told me Pina coffee, produced in New Mexico I looked it up but was unable to find it in stores, thankfully Amazon had it! Will be drinking this for some time for sure!

Beans were dry, but good taste.
I love the taste of this coffee. The beans were really dry in this bag, however. That is why I only gave 4 stars.

My favorite coffee!
I'm not a huge coffee fan and drink about 1-2 cups 4-5 times a week. I prefer it to have a less bitter taste and a double cream/sugar fan. Chain store brands are just too bitter, too strong, and have an aftertaste that feels like it lingers for hours (dreaded coffee breath). I've tried a lot store/chain brands in different flavors, roast levels, ground and whole and nothing stood out for me. I live in Albuquerque where NM Pinon coffee is made and once I tried it once, I was hooked for life. I've tried most of their offerings like light blond, reg, dark roast, whole/ground, and assorted flavors. I keep coming back to whole bean regular roast as my favorite flavor. I think they roast with pinon instead of actually putting roasted pinon mixed into the whole bean. It gives you the rich coffee flavor without being overpowering and no-where as bitter compared to other brands. The flavor taste so much better with a fresh ground compared to pre-ground. I've noticed the difference in flavor after 3-4 days once I grind my coffee and I will only grind what I need for a few days only. I would recommend grinding your own as needed because you will notice a difference in flavor compared to pre-ground. I can start to taste a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste and a slightly less flavor if the fresh ground sits for more than 5 days. Sometimes I add a dash or two of Medaglia D'Oro Instant Espresso Coffee to bump up the flavor when this happens. I just use: - KRUPS F203 Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder with Stainless Steel Blades, Black - Mr Coffee 12-cup maker for home - Mr. Coffee gold tone coffee permanent filter (hate when paper filters collapse and get grinds in the coffee) - Kona French Press Coffee maker for the road - water from my reverse osmosis at home or bottled water when on the road - Weber 6492 Instant read thermometer to microwave the water to 190-195 degrees for the road - store the fresh grinds in my Friis 12-Ounce Coffee Vault, Stainless Steel, in kitchen cabinet at home (small Ziploc freezer bag on the road) I can drive 10 miles up the road to pick up directly from the store. It is actually cheaper on Amazon because I get free 2-day shipping being a prime member, no sales tax, and the price is a little under $2 cheaper on-line for the same 2lb bag.

Enjoyable whole-bean coffee
I enjoyed this flavored, medium-roast coffee, but it didn't knock my socks off. I'm also not wild about drinking artificial flavorings.
