Will this work on 2000 5.3 chevy silverado. Will it throw alarm codes?

These heaters are probably not the best choice for vehicles, although technically these TPS series heaters can be used for any vehicle if 5/8" ID heater hoses can be used, and IF the hoses can be routed properly, so the thermo-siphon process can cause proper circulation. However, these are better suited for generator sets or off-road engines that have much easier access and better mounting options. There is a TPS101T8-000 (Notice the "G" for Generator is missing). They have a "Y" pipe adapter for vehicle installation into the vehicles existing heater hose. There is no way to know if there will be any alarm codes... Best wishes, Tech Support @ ASAP
