The Airflo Sixth Sense Intermediate fly lines have a whole new colour scheme and feature improved hang markers. Airflo offer their sixth sense lines in three intermediate sinking rates - slow, mid and fast, which sink at 0.5, 1 and 1.5 inches per second respectively. This allows the fly fisherman to cover each and every subsurface level if required- it is that ability to fine tune retrieve, depth and presentation which can turn an impending blank into a red letter session. The innovative line marking system allows you to judge your distance and improve casting, and the low stretch core offers instant contact with soft takes and pulls.

Nice line
I bought this item for my husband on our anniversary he likes it but won’t know the performance of it until he puts it on his reel

Good take detection, but some memory.
I'd bought the mid and fast intermediate. The mid will refuse to sink! It floats better than floating lines I have!! ( See pic ) You have to pull it several times to get it to cut throught surface tension on a calm day. Even with a choppy surface, it still might take a pull or two to get all of it sink! Not impressed. Also has a fair bit of memory. Because of braid core, bite detection however is very good, even with a bit of memory. But too bright for a sinking line colour. The fast intermediate is better in that it will sink. Perhaps only needing one pull in a flat calm, but ruffled water and it sinks as intended. Memory is better, but notice on cold day it gets worse. Again, the real positive with these braid core lines is the sensitivity to bites. I believe I lose less fish, but importantly I use a fairly responsive, mid action flyrod......you might bump fish off with a stuff rod.
