Power Bank Holder, Power Bank Clamp Mount for Camera

The SmallRig Universal Power Bank Holder is well built. Holds my battery solidly even out in the field. While it's marketed for holding USB power bank batteries, which is what I'm using it for, it can also hold slimmer phones. I tried with my LG G8 smartphone, which is in a slim case, and it held it just fine! May not work for really wide phones. One thing to note is that the hole on the bottom (opposite end of the screw) is not a threaded hole. It's hard to see in the photos, but it's not threaded. Just a hole to allow the mechanical screw to move up and down in during tightening adjustments.

Theses are nice. They have a thumb screw to tighten your phone in the mount. Really well made. Worth the money.

Picked this up so I could run my GoPro off a power bank and it is pretty much a perfect set up. I am using a power bank to power the camera so I can ditch the battery and take some heat out of the camera. Should be no overheating now, plus it takes the place of almost 6 GoPro batteries. Two birds, right? It is very well made, adjusts easily. Has padding on the inside so it won't damage the power bank and more importantly to hold the power bank tightly. I simply screwed it on to the bottom of the camera cage and done. It is heavy duty. Of course I used a small power bank. Just be sure to double check sizes, this won't fit just any power bank. Very happy with this, would recommend without hesitation!

This clamp is designed for a very specific need: securely hold a battery in place on a portable smartphone cage. It 100% does that, but it uses a threaded screw system that you manually adjust to "clamp in" your battery vs. a spring-loaded system where it just adjusts as needed within its opening width limits. To make sure it's REALLY secure, there are two hex-type screws that attach the clamp to the cage, and one those are tightened, the clamp is not going anywhere. BUT HERE'S MY ISSUE: the finger-thumb tightening screw, once the clamp is on the cage, is not that easy to turn and tighten. But you can't tighten the clamp before you mount it, because the battery the clamp is holding blocks where you attach (via this hex screws) the clamp to the cage. I could probably try needlenose pliers or whatever, but it's not a great solution for me. The overall quality, material, durability and relatively compact size are excellent. The thumb screw thing as a better solution to a spring clamp (which, for sure, can fail or weaken over time) is not quite right. If the thumb screw end had a slot for a flathead screwdriver, a hex wrench or a Phillips screwdriver, it would be a lot better solution. I own SmallRig gear and I love its design and durability and MOSTLY its ease of use, but this one isn't for me. If you have smaller fingers or better finger strength, it might be just right. Four stars on this, but I get why they'd want something more robust than a spring clamp.

Bought this to avoid using a v-mount by putting a battery pack on my camera to keep my ZVE-10 charged with one battery but adjusting this with a wrench on the fly as well as the weight was very inconvenient. It worked as advertised and is a very well built and sturdy product regardless of my situation.
