Very happy with this kit! plenty of coax for my install on a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee in case your wondering. I mounted this on the roof at the rear of the vehicle it requires a 3/4 hole to be drilled I then slipped the pl-259 connector in the hole and fished it through with a coat hanger under the headliner to the front of my vehicle. There was more than enough wire I had to actually pull some back and route it in a wider loop (NEVER coil excess coax)the NMO mount worked perfectly and sealed up well! The antenna also comes with another large rubber washer that goes between the base of the antenna and your vehicles body sealing it up even more ! Also protects the paint... so far receiving audio is crisp and clear when I hear people talking on the repeaters I have not been able to get a signal report from another ham as my license has not yet updated in the FCC data base but when it does I’ll call out and get a few signal reports and then I will update this review! good looking antenna feels quality and if you pay attention a very similar TRAM antenna is used on some police cars! build quality is superb! .. check back for an updated review on transmission signal reports !*** UPDATE ****As promised my fcc license finally updated in the uls system and I was able to talk on my mobile unit using this antenna!! and I must say I’m impressed! I’ve had signal reports stating that their receiving audio off of my unit and this antenna are very crisp and clear ! I highly recommend this antenna!
