After 2 years in the harsh southeast Texas sun and tropical rains, the cover material became brittle and started to tear. The drawstring didn’t last that long but the cover did cover our fire pit well. For the price of a new one, I’m happy with the protection it provided and will be buying another one. Photo and video show a thin tear blowing open at the mercy of a leaf blower because the cover material had been out in the sun for 52 months.

These covers are very good. This one replaced the same thing I had for 10 years.

This cover is great for about 2 years. We have ordered it 3 times. After about 2 years, it becomes brittle due to being out in the weather and rips. We continue to reorder because it fits our fire pit perfectly, looks nice, and does its job until it eventually does rip, but we think any cover would eventually end up ripping.

I have a Landmann Big Sky Stars & Moons Fire Pit. I have the 12.5 inch deep one. The cover fits over it even with the spark cover on the pit. The cover comes down about two thirds of the way down the side of the bowl. Part of this would vary on which bowl depth Fire Pit you buy. But all I need covered is the top to prevent rain from entering so it doesnt bother me if the whole bowl and legs are covered. UPDATE after one year. It is November 2010 and the cover is still in very good shape. Still happy with the purchase. Second Update December 2011. The cover is still in great shape. No tears or rips. I keep it on my firepit year round and the cover gets full sun. Nice cover. Third update. Its March 2013. The cover is still functional. It seems to be getting a little stiffer but it has no cracks in the fabric.

Update: after having some heavy rains, I went out to see how waterproof this cover really is. Water was pooling in the center since there's nothing to tent it up to encourage run off; but when I pulled it back to remove the water, the rocks in the pit we're 100% dry. Definitely recommend this cover. Last year, we had to open our gas line at the meter to blow water out of it that had gotten in through the ring holes of our in ground fire pit from heavy rains. I really didn't want to do that again this year, so I bought this cover. So far, it has withstood a pretty heavy storm and has kept the pit from getting wet. Our firepit is about 35 inches in diameter and it fits pretty well and the elastic keeps it snug (we have high winds). Patio chair for extra protection from pesky dogs.

This is the second time I've purchased this fire pit cover. They don't last forever, but my first one lasted for 5 years. Being out in the weather, they do eventually start to get brittle and develop small tears. Also, I pressure washed my first one which might not have been a good idea since it weakened the fabric. Also, when small tears develop, I baseball stitch them together and put a piece of duct tape on the underside. This extends the life of the cover. But, this past spring, I splurged and got a brand new one. I expect it to last at least another 5 years! The elastic band around the bottom is a nice feature, too.

I bought this cover to use with a fire pit and a ride-in toy car (Little Tykes Cozy Coupe) on our patio for the winter. It is worth noting that the measurement is the diameter of the entire cover. It is a flat circle with a gathering cord around the perimeter. It does *not* have drop sides. Pros: --This is a universal cover. It is easy to throw over your item, gather the cord, and go. --The fabric is durable and of good quality, as is the cord. Cons: --The cover does not have drop sides. The diameter is the total measurement of the cover. This was not clear when I looked into it. --The elastic cord does not have toggles. You must either gather and knot it or wrap it around the bottom of the item being covered. With the fire pit I was able to pull on the cord and stick it under the foot of the pit. --It does not cover the toy car at all--it is just too small.

if you have a portable fire, then you need to keep it covered. why? so the water does not fill bottom of the pit making it hard if not impossible to get a fire started.this cover has been perfect for my pit. i like to research items i buy,before i make a purchase. so i take it very personal if i get an item, that has had a great review and find out that it does not live up to the promise given. when i tell you this one will. believe it.this cover is simple but gives you what you need to keep your pit ready to go in a moments notice .my fire pit is 32 inches wide this cover still has room in it.i would like to add this info if your pit has a domed screen cover with a handle that sticks out above the screen then you might want to remove that handle if its not adjustable because it will in time put a hole in this cover. the cover is alittle to easy to rip after a couple years.if you notice the picture the piont that is how my pits handle was and it tore a hole in it.after about 9 months.i just replaced my handle with a different type and put a small patch on the insided of cover.

I am using the product to cover the hopper on my salt spreader. Fit perfectly and looks great.

Ich habe mir die AmazonBasic Feuerstelle gekauft. Die Abdeckung passt dazu perfekt. Mittlerweile hat die Abdeckung schon so ziemlich alles gesehen: Starke Sonne, Regen, Wind. Die Abdeckung hält. Mal sehen wie langlebig das Ding ist. Zutrauen würde ich der Folie aktuell alles.....

Great product. Covers the whole fire pit. Good thick quality waterproof fabric. I used a short bungee cord looped under the legs for extra resistance from wind.

We have had this cover for 2 summers and it's still in very good shape.
