First Little Readers: Guided Reading Level A: A Big Collection of Just-Right Leveled Books for Beginning Readers

These were a wonderful find! I needed some decodable books for my small groups and this was the perfect buy. Scholastic did a great job putting this set together for children learning to read.

I bought these to use with my kindergarten students and have been LOVING them so far. You receive 5 books each of 20 different titles. All books are in full color and contain kindergarten sight words and decodable, repetitive text. The reproducibles are the perfect enhancement for our guided reading group time. I also have the B and C level boxes and plan to buy the level D set if one is created!

I am a home daycar e and as a part of my program I offer pre-k preparedness . I use these books and resources to introduce reading to my gro up and I send the books home with the kids so that they can begin to build their own library and a love for books

I love these books and the activity page. I teach kindergarten and use them for "take home reading" . My parent helpers take care of switching books and the activity pages and keeping a log of which book the student has taken home. I also bought a book from scholastic that has the same books in a photo copy form that includes the Spanish version. That way my ELL students can keep the photo copied books at home for their personal library. After using this set, I bought the B and C sets.

This is not what I expected. If I would have noticed in the description there were multiples of the same books, I would have chosen something else.

I bought this book set for my little neice. These books are great for little ones learning to read.
