RUIPRO 8K HDMI 2.1 Fibre Optic Cable, 48Gbps, 8K60, 4K120, HDR, eARC, 1 m

I had a high speed copper cable running over 15M previously, I had encountered hand shake problems when transmitting 10-bit colour via Sky Q and convinced myself to spend £200+ on a cable. I've not regretted it at all (up to now). I've had the cable installed for around 3 weeks, the colour and clarity is a HUGE upgrade from the previous cable and I've had no handshake issues at all. Before I bought this, I tried an optical HDMI from a reputable high street store which failed to transmit 10-bit and would only do 8. I wrote to the seller asking for the latest version, they were very helpful and shipped the cable immediately. It took around 1 week which was a lot quicker than expected.

Needed longer HDMI’s for aesthetic purposes, bought these as they’re highly rated and high spec, honestly not worth the money. Devices and TV worked great before and now not so much. Select a game on the Xbox and the signal just disappears, have to switch the unit off and on and then sometimes it keeps happening other times it works fine. I bought 2 leads, same thing with both leads. Everything’s connected correctly (source in source, tv in tv etc). The quality is fine (when it works) just the connectivity and reliability is the issue. Imagine every time you want to use a device you have to off and on it til it works

After doing a lot of research, I've decided to buy this cable to connect my laptop to the TV for gaming. My laptop is a Zephyrus G14 2023 with an RTX 4090, while my TV is a Philips OLED 910 65''. I was worried that the connection might not be stable over 3 meters, at 144Hz refresh rate + HDR + 4K, so I went for a fiber optic cable. I've been using the cable for 3 months and so far everything has been working well. I never had any issue with frame rate or HDR or audio. Everything works as expected. The cable is connected directly from the laptop to the TV without any additional adapters, then I use a wireless controller to game. I had tried to use a Cable Matters angled HDMI adapted on the TV side to see if it was easier to connect the cable, but I wasn't getting the expected frame rate on the TV, as the HDMI had started operating at a lower bandwidth. In the end, I didn't need the adapter and I was able to connect the RUIPRO cable directly to the TV without issues. This Philips TV has a tight space on the back for the HDMI cables, but this RUIPRO isn't as stiff and thick as other non-fiber HDMI cables, so I could connect it directly without adapters.

Doesn’t work. I tried this cable with three windows laptops to be sure it wasn’t user error, and it didn’t pick up 4k or HDR in the windows display settings - one of my laptops has a 120hz display and I have a ProArt 4k monitor, so I was really disappointed that this cable didn’t have any of the specs it claimed to have. In contrast, I tried a cheaper cable by Uni and Stouch; both of which worked amazingly well and cost £15-20 each. I strongly advise saving your money and buying the latter cables, as the Ruipro cable did not work for well at all.

Needed a long HDMI run for a projector. Previously purchased several mid range copper ones that had various issues (mainly random dropouts when running 4K HDR films) Wanted to fix the issue once and for all as swapping the cable means ripping up floors. Happy to say this has fixed all issues and has recently survived survived both amp and projector upgrades, should see me through the next wave of upgrades too.

I had to use a 20+ metre cable to make my TV wall mounting complete. I had used a HDMI over Ethernet solution which worked but I couldn't get Dolby Vision. This cable did the job. Plugged directly into my Apple TV this 25m cable displayed Dolby Vison no problems. Unfortunately my AV receiver (Sont STR-DN1080) did not want to play ball (no picture) but this is not the fautl of the cable. I think the STR-DN1080 has quite a weak output signal. This was solved by combining this cable with a HDMI signal booster (I used this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0747M5NDQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ). Note, direct to my Apple TV, Virgin media box, PS4 was fine. It was onyl my AV receiver that needed it. All in all good quality product that solves the issue of getting Dolby Vison to work over a long distance.

No good

I bought 4 of these Cables for my Setup. One for a 4k Player, UB9000 , One for Apple TV , One for the Denon Amp and One for Xbox series X .... All connecting to an LG C4 Oled. The first two work Fine, with the Player and Apple tv 4k.. afrer a few days no issues. The next two did not work at all, The Denon amp would not playback atmos audio when the Ruipro was connected and The Xbox Series X would not connect, It kept dropping back to the LG wallpaper screen, the only way to rectify it was to unplug and re-plug the hdmi cable, no point in that !! So while they are well built and all that, They are pretty expensive and pretty Hit and miss as to if they will work with your gear.

I made this cable upgrade mainly anticipating needing to drive a new upgrade 4K UHD laser projector cleanly at 60Hz or faster. I need to handle all the high bandwidth formats like Atmos, DTS:X, HDR+ and HLG trouble-free. But as a huge immediate benefit it has apparently solved a persistent problem I have been having with my existing 9-year old Optoma UHD60 projector: frequent random video blackouts. I have been driving this older 4K projector at 4K60Hz and for the most part that's been fine as its within spec. But at least 2-3 times per hour the screen would go black and resync annoyingly. That has completely vanished since installing this 8K fiber cable. Hooray! This cable is very flexible and I had no trouble inserting it into a flexible cable management hose I have been using to eliminate cable clutter. It has quite compact HDMI connector shells that plug in confidently. So this has been well worth the expense and time spent installing. I recommend it.

Pas de latence ni de perte de qualité vidéo. Fonctionne trop bien pour l'utilisation que j'en fais, a voir pour de la vidéo a plus haute résolution/plus haute fréquence. N'oubliez pas, il y a un sens pour ces types de câbles.

Finally I found cable that actually does what is supposed to. I bought multiple different cables to connect my gaming pc to my living room TV. And finally this was it. (I tried very budget, to mid range but always problems with signal, blackout or straight up doesn't work) This one is quite pricey but they have good warranty, and it actually works. Fairly thin, but reasonably durable (my puppy tried to chew on it, cougt him fast, but still could've been worse, cable works fine after the incident). I've been using it for months and still working well. It is expensive, I wish it was a bit cheaper 120+ euro for cable is crazy. But it does work very well I tested it for 4k 120hz HDR gaming from rtx 4090 to 4k Oled Sony Bravia TV. Would recommend and would buy again if necessary.

Buy this hdmi cable this made a huge difference !
