BEMIS 500EC 390 Toilet Seat with Easy Clean & Change Hinges, 1 Pack Round, Cotton White

I just installed my Bemis 1500DEC 390 toilet seat and it couldn’t have been easier. I’ll admit I got lucky—my old seat used the same hardware, so I didn’t need to swap anything out. That said, the included hardware looks straightforward and easy to install if needed. One feature I absolutely love is that the seat lifts off completely. It makes cleaning around and under the hinge area quick and hassle-free—such a simple thing, but a big improvement. The seat itself is sturdy and attaches very securely. There’s no shifting or sliding, which is something I really appreciate. I also prefer wood over plastic—it just feels more comfortable. One thing to keep in mind, though: the painted finish doesn’t hold up well to strong cleaners or scrubbing. I learned that the hard way. Now I just use a soft cloth and mild soap (even antibacterial hand soap works fine), and that keeps it looking good. This model doesn’t have a soft-close feature, but since I live alone, that’s not an issue for me. A toilet seat is one of those everyday items you don’t think much about—until it starts to look worn. Having a clean, bright white seat really does make a difference, and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Fits my toilet perfectly, simple switch, removed old seat and installed this one in 10 mins. Love the easy-off hinge locks. I had a soft/slow close lid that always required adjusting the difficult weird hinges, and the plastic seat was too flimsy to sit on. This one is not soft close, so if you have small kids it may not be the best choice. It’s more like old school seats with a solid lid you can actually sit on, but will close hard on the seat if you just let it go and not lower it by hand. Time will tell how the hinges, finish, and pressed wood will hold up. But I’m very happy with it right now, especially for the price.

Very pleasantly surprised when received. Beautifully made. Put my old seat to shame. Perfect fit. Finish is so smooth it matches the porcelain of the toilet. This is not plastic. It's made of wood IN AMERICA! Installation took under ten minutes... including removal of the old seat! Easiest installation ever! AND... entire seat can be removed with two flicks of the wrist! Who could ask for anything more? I HIGHLY recommend this product. It rivals those of three times the price!

Just perfect just one little problem there was a cracked but I was still able to put the screws so I just hope it's last a while, other than that it looks great, good quality and the color is just perfect

Full agreement on the points the other five-star reviews cover! I do have some notes to add: 1. The "Easy Clean & Change Hinges" also make INSTALLATION much easier, since you don't have to work around the whole seat: you just drop the bolts in, screw the nuts on, and tighten it all down with a screwdriver. Then the seat just snaps on. 2. This is a very COMFORTABLE seat! I guess that's something you don't often think about, but it's important in the long run -- I didn't realize how UNcomfortable the old seat was until I sat down on this one for the first time. 3. I'm not going to speculate on long-term durability less than 48 hours after installation, but it FEELS very sturdy. Once you clamp them in place, the hinges are solid and precisely fitted, unlike the rattly metal ones on the old seat. The seat and lid have a solidity and HEFT to them that inspires confidence -- as well as contributing to the aforementioned comfort. Seat go UP, seat go DOWN, seat NOT go side-to-side.

Better than expected and really easy to install. Looks good and is well made. Fair price for such a good product.

The perfect fit dose everything I need it do actually snapped right onto existing hardware

Cheap and very easy to install, but I have had the lock fail and the seat detatach. It's a very infrequent problem and the seat is easy to put back on but it's enough that I can't give 5 stars

It’s perfect. My son snapped the lid clips on the last toilet seat, but it was old and weathered anyway. Make sure you measure your lid, this one is longer than the “regular/round” shaped lids. I love the twist-lock clips to take these on and off, makes cleaning and installation a breeze. And it’s really brightened up the look of my whole bathroom which is a big plus! Very happy with it.

Website did not advise on fixing centres - clearly this American product is for the home market of the USA. Screws at wrong centres for UK toilets. Will not be returning as the postage back to USA is cost prohibitive. Very poor information on your website - product itself appeared very sound and fit for purpose. BUYER BEWARE!

Llegó exactamente en la fecha estimada. Aún cuando venía desde Amazon Estados Unidos, llegó en excelentes condiciones, sin ningún daño. El asiento es fuerte, se nota la calidad del producto. Para los que tuvieron problemas con la rosca, no es necesario romper su pestaña o sujetador, lo único que tienen que hacer es enroscar hasta donde puedan y una vez que tope con la taza del baño, van a sujetar la rosca, y tomar un desarmador, y con ese desarmador, van a girar los tornillos de plástico. La rosca la van sujetar para que no se mueva, y solo van a mover o girar el tornillo con el desarmador. Yo le hice así, y sin ningún problema quedó instalado, y sin romper ninguna pieza. En Estados Unidos es muy común este tipo de asientos de madera, pero que lucen como los de plástico, pero que no se sienten fríos como uno de plástico. Yo una vez compré en México uno similar, pero después ya no pude encontrar, hasta que finalmente pude encontrarlo aquí en Amazon y a muy buen precio. Muy recomendable. Solo espero nos dure como el anterior que teníamos.
