Great invention! After foot surgery I was in an Aircast Walking boot for 4 weeks. My physical therapist suggested finding a shoe in my closet that had a heel height close to the Aircast boot. I didn't have any that were closed toed or weren't slip-ons that would be secure on my good foot...especially when working up to full weight bearing. So next stop...Amazon...it's truly amazing what you can find on Amazon...things like this that you didn't even know existed. The EvenUP shoe lift has been GREAT. I wear a women's 11 wide shoe and measured my foot based on their chart and ordered the MEDIUM. It fit well over a tennis shoe...not so much over a sandal with straps...but definitely any closed toed shoe. There are 3 layers so you can adjust to different heel heights of shoes. It's easy to put on and take off to switch shoes. This product really saved my back and hips by having heels on both feet the same height. I had been going around in the house with a grippy hospital sock for traction on the good foot, but this is much, much better. I feel more secure and comfortable. Even my Physical Therapist acknowledged it was a great choice for more stability and to help my progress. I would highly recommend it. The cost was reasonable especially based on stability and security of balance.

Best purchase EVER! I've been in a walking boot many times, and the worst part is the havoc it play on your hips being uneven and how much harder (and uncomfortable) it is to walk at a reasonable pace. Several months ago my friend was in a walking boot and tried the EVENup and recommended it. Recently I ended up in a walking boot again and got the EVENup to try. The first day I wore the EVENup I noticed a HUGE difference. Hip stopped hurting immediately. I am able to walk easily, and at a normal speed. It's made such an improvement on daily activities. It is actually very comfortable to wear. I haven't noticed any limitations while wearing the EVENup. I am able to easily and comfortably golf in my walking boot while wearing the EVENup. I haven't tried running, but I think the limitation is more of the walking boot for that activity. My shoe size is right at the the upper size for medium and lower size for large. The first one I purchased was a large as the recommendation was to size up, however for me the medium fit much better. I do wear zero drop shoes, so I need all three of the height inserts to be level with the boot. My friend who recommended it only needed one level as they wear standard athletic sneakers. It has made quite the difference in my everyday activity as I do walk and stand a lot at work. This is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made.

The Evenup was recommended by my orthopedic surgeon. This helped save my back and hips while in a medical boot for 5 months. It is easy to attach to a sneaker type shoe. It stays in place. It comes with a couple options for height lift. It is not going to be absolutely perfect but it came quite close for me and aided in walking. I was surprised at how many physical therapists had not heard of it but thought it was a great idea for their patients.

Started experiencing lower back pain while using a walking boot around the house, so purchased the EVENup adjustable height shoe lift in large (I wear a U.S. men's 12 shoe) to even out my walking gait. The product did just that and my back pain subsided. The upper cage is made of a flexible rubber that expands around the shoe to hold it in place; however, experienced a little slipping in the heel area, but not enough to cause stability concerns. There is a thin velcro strap to secure the upper toe area. The sole is grippy and never slipped on ceramic tile or vinyl flooring surfaces. The shoe lift comes set at the highest height, which is what I retained, but the platform soles are removable if a lower height is desired. Overall, pleased with the product, but perhaps a wider strap would be better. No durability issues, but only used the product everyday for ~four weeks. Also, never had an issue with the rubber cage leaving marks/creases on my shoes, but I didn't wear the same pair of shoes every day. IMPORTANT - closely adhere to the vendor's instructions for selecting a size. All of my shoes measured longer than 12", so this is why I bought large over medium. Also, the shape of the shoe is very important. My slip-in Sketchers did not fit well, but shoes with a lower/streamlined sole profile, more closely resembling the vendor's picture did.

This shoe lift is a lifesaver if you are wearing a walking boot. It perfectly levels out your hips and eliminates the back and knee pain caused by walking unevenly. It is easy to slip onto different sneakers, stays securely attached, and feels very stable. Highly recommend it to anyone recovering from a foot or ankle injury!

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Good Idea, But Didn’t Work as Well as I Hoped I ordered this shoe leveler attachment while wearing a walking boot after surgery, hoping it would help balance out the height difference and make walking more comfortable. The concept makes sense, but my experience was mixed. The attachment was fairly easy to put on my shoe, but I found it difficult to get a consistently secure fit. Depending on the shoe I used, it would occasionally shift slightly while walking, which made me feel less stable than I expected. It did help reduce some of the unevenness caused by the boot, but the added bulk and weight took some getting used to. I also noticed that the attachment changed the way my shoe flexed when walking, making my stride feel a bit awkward. The materials seem durable enough, and I appreciate that it’s adjustable to fit different shoes. However, I expected a more natural walking experience, especially considering the purpose of the product. Overall, it may work well for some users, but for me it was only a partial solution. It helped with the height difference, but comfort and stability weren’t quite where I hoped they would be.

I had toe fusion surgery and the boot I'm in is a "walk on heel" type boot. It's so much higher than other shoes I have that it made walking very difficult. A nurse who had to use a boot recommended this to me. It's awesome. It has two "inserts" one that is a bit thicker than the other. You can use either one by itself or both together (giving you 3 options). I chose to get an EvenUp that would work with my Brooks Ghost Max women's size 9 athletic shoe. Based on the length of that shoe, I bought a Medium size and they work perfectly together (see pics). The EvenUp fits tightly around the shoe and I have no issue with my shoe moving around in it. The sole of the EvenUp is slip resistant and I have had no problems on my LVP floor. I will say be careful particularly on rugs/carpet. The sole will grab, so you don't want to "slide" your foot while walking. Otherwise, my two legs are perfectly the same height, but very close and I can walk without experiencing pain in my hips or back. If you have a lower profile shoe, I could imagine you might need to downsize as others have commented. It would be fine, I think, if your shoe slightly extended over the tip of the EvenUp to get a tight fit. I cannot speak to durability as I don't wear it constantly. I use a knee cart frequently.

My Dr recommended this from the get go but I didnt listen. Week 1 on Das Boot and my opposite hip started hurting. I was sooo off bec leg length with the boot on was so much longer than the other. Then I finally got this evenup and the difference was like day and night! I’m more stable with my walk, gait so much better, and my legs were back to being EVEN! Lifesaver! It’s adjustable to 3 diffferent heights but honestly it works better with sneakers than any other shoe type. Given you look a little weird, like you have snow shoes on, but the benefits outweigh that! If you’re on the air cam boot trust me, don’t be frugal because you really need this!

Para la mayoría de los que se operan de los tobillos/pies, el problema con la bota ortopédica es la altura y que no hay un zapato alto que compense la altura de la bota. Sin esto, caminas chueco, te duele la espalda y la cadera, etc. Yo creo que es un artículo indispensable y la verdad funcionó muy bien, puedo caminar sin problema incluso sin bastón y manejar sin dificultad. Muy recomendable, no lo piensen mucho, es una gran ayuda en tu recuperación

This product is very helpful for the people who are using the the Vacoped boot. It helps to level the height preventing knee and foot pain on your good leg. Only issue is the size is a little smaller, i should have ordered a large instead of a medium to fit the shoes.

Rarely is a product so good and functional as this one. I was initially skeptical whether if I need this after my Achilles tendon tear, where I had to wear an Aircast boot on one leg. Once I got this, it revolutionized my ability to freely walk. During my recovery I traveled a lot, and took this shoe leveler on hikes, into a cave, a mine and onto beaches. It took all the terrain and all the punishment of uneven paths. I now even use it to play walking pickleball while my other foot is in the boot. The product seems to have hardly any wear after all that abuse! Amazing quality product! My only request would be for the manufacturer to include an extra layer that can be added in to elevate even more. For anyone with Achilles tears, we have to have a heel rise in the boot, so we need more height. I solved this by buying a pair of flat flip-flops, cutting out the toe holders and sliding it in as an extra layer. A $5 solution and it worked well!
