Great Compact Lightweight Radio / Light / Phone Charger For Emergencies, Camping, Hiking or Boating
This little jewel would provide invaluable during emergencies. It will provide 50 lumen LED light, AM/FM/NOAA radio and even a way to charge phones. The items that come packaged in the box are:- 1x Esky weather radio 1x mini USB charging cable 1x 2.5mm output charging cable 1x 2.5mm connector to USB converter 1x User Manual 1x Warranty card This device has 2 ways to charge during emergencies when electricity is not available. It can be charged by the hand crank on the side or the solar panel on the top. It can also be charged by other means like USB wall charger and USB cord from your computer. I was even able to charge this device from the USB outlet in my truck. The 50 lumen LED light is very bright. I was able to run the light for 15 hours on a fully charged device. The radio works well and picks up AM/FM and also the NOAA weather stations. Tuning in the stations is easy and they come in relatively clear. The antenna is a little over 9 inches long and lets down and folds compactly on top on the unit. The 2 charging ports are on the back of the device and they are covered by a rubber flap that protects them from the weather. The device is made from a sturdy plastic with almost a rubbery feel to it. Light moisture and rain will shed off the device although it is not designed to be completely waterproof. It can be carried by a handy lanyard cord that is attached to the back. It is light and compact at only 7.7 ounces and the dimensions are Length 5" X Height 2 3/8" X Thickness 1 3/8". It can easily be carried in the pocket and does not take up much space if packed in an emergency bug bag out or hiking backpack.. One of the best features about this device is that is will charge cell phones. I was able to put enough charge on an apple iPhone and an LG smart phone to make calls with. For all the features wrapped up in this emergency device, one cannot go wrong by purchasing it especially at the affordable price. It would be money well invested during an emergency or when camping, hiking or boating where there is no power.

Awesome product at an awesome price
This is a neat little thing to have around the house. Living in the Midwest, it never hurts to have something like this just in case one of the various seasons' storms leave you without power. The flashlight lasts a lot longer than I expected on a full charge. It only started to lose it's brightness after around 17 hours, and even then, it was still brighter than the old D battery powered flashlights you could buy for like 4 bucks. Did I mention that it's bright? Because it is BRIGHT. I live in a small apartment, and it light up the room better than my lamp does. The rechargeable light alone makes it worth the purchase price. It works pretty good as a radio, with volume that is louder than one would expect from such a small package. It has a telescopic antenna, but I didn't need it to pick up any of the major stations in the area. The NOAA station comes in as clear as any other quality weather radio, and is a nice little feature in a gadget that is packed with them. The main reason that I bought this product is that it charges your phone! You can never have too many charging devices, and this feature was a deal maker for me. It probably won't give you a full charge, but it will give you enough to make important calls if you need it to. I haven't been able to test the solar charging, as it's been all overcast days around here lately. The crank is a nice touch though. It'll take a lot of cranking to generate enough power, but it'll be worth it in the case where that's your only option. Overall, I really like this little thing. It's a handy gadget to have in case I ever need it.

Good value for a good product.
Used it several times. Seems more durable than others I have owned. Works well. Easy to use and small and compact. Nice to have a back up flashlight you can recharge with the crank. Don't expect the USB charger to charge your phone more than enough to make a quick phone call or send a few texts. Strictly for emergency charging.

Great Little Radio/Light/Charger for Emergencies
Very neat little emergency jack of all trades. Recently Hawaii had a powerful hurricane come very close to hitting and although it didnโt greatly affect the majority of the islands, it was a serious threat. These kinds of things make you check your disaster preparedness kits and this was the one thing we didnโt have and couldnโt get before the storm. A radio is very important to have around and I liked that this had a variety of ways to have power including a hand crank, a small solar panel, and a rechargeable 1000mAh battery. It also has a decent light and the ability to charge your devices via USB port on the back. The device feels pretty durable for a cheaper plastic build. I think it should hold up with proper care but it isnโt necessarily built to throw around. I think the build is reasonable for the price. The radio works as well as Iโd hope. It is easy enough to dial into the stations and with the telescoping antenna it can pick up a signal very well. The speaker is cheap and nothing to write home about but it is more than functional for its intended use. I think a problem with these type of handcrank radios is that due to not using them very much between potential disasters, the batteries lose their capacity and become nearly useless outside of hand cranking it the entire time youโre using it. I imagine that this can be an issue for this radio and so it is probably important to store it with about a half a charge and occasionally check and recharge as needed to maintain the battery health. Overall I think itโs great and important to have and hopefully Iโll never have to truly test its importance but I think it is a good deal for the price and I can recommend it.

Great radio & The perfect case in my review
This little radio packs a pretty big "VALUE" .. Well made seems like it will last as it is a lot of quality for the price. I also found the perfect case for it also on amazon . "Aproca Case Compatible with Retekess V115 Shortwave Radio, Portable Storage Bag for Accessories (Case Only)" Fits this radio like it was custom made perfectly, no forcing with room for a power cord and a pack of batteries. This way all you need in one place at home in your pack or the trunk of your car.

Works well, but cheap plastic shell can become sticky.
First, considering the low price, the electronics in this little radio seem pretty good. Radio reception is decent, and the light, while not very powerful, is still useful. The hand crank works quite well for charging; it is tiring, but that is inevitable. The solar charger also works, though at a MUCH slower rate. But that leads me to the major problem with this little gadget.... The plastic used for the radio's shell is obviously not of high quality. I left it in a westward-facing window for about a week in order to charge it, and when I picked it up to put it away, it was sticky! It seems the heat of the sun had softened the plastic just enough to make the entire surface tacky, and it's impossible to wash off this stickiness. I kept other devices on the same window sill for the same amount of time, and none of them have this problem. I encountered this kind of effect with a mouse once, the plastic softened and became sticky just from the heat of my hand and the electronics within, and I had to throw it away. Now I'm contemplating doing the same with this radio.... At least the solar charger worked and brought the radio to a full charge. So if you live in a cooler climate and/or do not plan to leave this out in the sun or attempt to use the solar charger, this is a pretty good little emergency/survival radio. But if you live in a hot climate (I live in the Southwest), or were counting on the solar charger, then look elsewhere. I'm rating this 3 stars because of the good functionality, but it should really be a 2.5, this sticky plastic is extremely annoying.

A little Pocket Rocket
This is an awesome little radio. It lasts for hours on a full charge and tops up so easy in the sun. The torch was a life saver when I had a black out. A great little unit to have around the house. Small but powerful.

Very nice little radio-flashlight for emergency use
I saw lots of positive reviews about this little emergency radio-flashlight device, and I must say that it surpassed my expectations. Now, the little speaker is not going to knock your socks off with quality, but for what this is, the speaker is more than adequate with very clear and unmuffled sound, not tinny sounding as I expected to be. It would be quite acceptable for anyone who likes to listen to radio broadcasts, and who doesn't demand audiophile quality sound. It really is quite good considering the small size of the whole device. It is smaller than I thought, but that's a plus if you plan to take it camping or anywhere really. It would fit neatly into a backpack and weighs almost nothing. The flashlight is not super powerful, but it too is more than adequate if you find yourself in a dark garage or other place and drop your keys, or need to go to the bathroom at night when camping without waking everyone else up with a really bright light, or even for just walking around. It will light your way just fine. I think that for $26 it was a great deal. I sure could have used it a few weeks back when we were hit by a tornado here in Ottawa and the power was out for a long time. It would have been nice to have had this just for the radio feature to know what was going on in the city. I can't really vouch for the sturdiness of the device, as it is small and made of plastic and I don't feel like wasting money just to throw it around to see how well it holds up, but it seems that with careful use it would last just fine. I have no idea how long it would take to charge it even with a strong sun, but I plan to keep it charged up with the (included) micro usb cable and only use the solar charger feature in an emergency. Update: I fully charged it with the usb cable and then set it in my window, which seems to keep it fully charged with the solar panel, even when using it for a while listening to the radio, and it keeps fully charged, even though the sun has been clouded over the past couple of days. It seems as if just bright daylight, even without much sun, will let the solar panel keep it fully charged. Excellent performance so far. I don't know how long it would take to fully charge with just the solar panel, but it seems fairly efficient so far. All in all, a good deal on a nice piece of kit for emergencies, camping or hiking.

This does actually work!
Was not sure what I would receive with this order and I am very impressed with this little radio. PV cell started charging was I took it out of the box, tuned into our local community radio with great clarity, topped up the battery with the cable to my phone charger in no time, excellent quality from the speaker.
