Great solid mount

Decided to mount it on the windshield of my Ryker and it works perfectly. Install pretty easy

Build quality is pretty nice, only complaint and it does vibrate loose over time, a nylock nut or even a lockwasher wpuld help.

So far so good I have it mounted to my kraton 8s wing and it's holding up pretty good

I was trying to use this as an electric skateboard light mount. I mounted it to the front on the deck using the truck mounting hardware and a thin rubber pad underneath (see the board on the right in the pic). The light I had mounted would not stay in position using this mount no matter how hard I tightened or even using washers. I KNOW that the deck level vibration of a skateboard on the street is intense. I believe this was really my fault, because it couldn’t handle the vibration from the street and urethane wheels—-it’s just too much for this mount and it wasn’t meant for this. If it were used on a bike with pneumatic tires or a helmet It would work great. It is sturdy aluminum and steel, and works perfectly with all the other accessories that are meant to work in conjunction with this. You can trust it to securely attach your GoPro or light.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This camera mount worked perfectly. I used it to replace a broken mount for my motorcycle csmera system.

The pictures made it seem that it was a flat bottomed mount. And I bought it as such for my purpose. But it does have a slight curve to the bottom of the mount for it to work with helmets. As such I haven't used it yet but the curve is so slight that I'm thinking a bit of foam or padding between the mount and the object should allow it to work just fine. Bought it for the heavy duty aluminum over plastic options and I can for sure say it's 100% worth it. I've cracked so many plastic brackets over the years. Once I find a way to use it to my needs. It's staying for good. Worth it.
