Perfect fit
I have the short boot and have had it for at least 15 years. I still wear it off and on if my foot swells or has a strain and the insert really showing wear. The rest of the boot is perfect still looks like new. This insert fits perfectly.

Just what I needed!
Perfect replacement for my air cast. I needed to reuse my old boot. It was worn for almost six months after surgery a couple of years ago. The old liner was trashed and the velcro didn't hold any more. The new liner with insole made the boot practically new again. Easy to remove and replace. See photo for new/old comparison.

Worn for three days and already gluing stuff and adding my own velcro
This is a OEM replacement for the foam liner for my Air Cast Air Select short walking boot with some differences. Wore original liner for 3 weeks and Velcro (hook) fastener that attaches directly to the liner from the metatarsal/shin guard chewed the gray outer layer up causing plate to slide. Takes forever to dry out after rinsing so ordered this one to swap out as needed. Edges of liner are finished unlike some cheaper ones found elsewhere. New liner comes with sole plate and additional Velcro for toe area of hard shell. (Just had Super-glued mine back down the day it came!) However loop portion of Velcro on new liner toe smaller than old, won't stay stuck on liner. Used industrial Velcro that I had on hand to replace. When re-positioning the little white tape on the bottom of liner that keeps the split under sole plate together, tore the gray fabric away from the foam on both sides of liner under toes! Used more industrial Velcro and some Aileen's fabric glue to fix after three days of wearing new liner. Moved that tape on old liner numerous time and no fabric delamination even with repeated cool water rinsings etc. Thickness of foam is identical to original liner. Blue heel pad on new liner sole thicker than original, makes positioning sole inside liner more difficult. Don't need the extra thickness. I will be sewing loop pieces of Velcro on both old and new liner in wear spot from guard to save wear and tear on liner fabric cover - should be manufactured like that. I wish that Air Cast put some more thought into wear and tear on outer liner fabric and higher quality Velcro as their products are expensive. Insurance paid for most of the boot so I can't whine too much. I will be in this thing for probably 3-4 more weeks as I managed to re-fracture one of the breaks in my 5th metatarsal. Repairing liner every night is getting redundant. I ordered two of the older liners (1/3 cost) without finished edges from another merchant to wear when I am going outside for chores to beat on so I don't have to order another newer style like this one again.
